Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning.

I was late for the first day at my new job—a job I'd now have to compete for even though I'd already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger.

While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons.

She'd ticketed a long line of cars—except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine.

Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine. Chances were, the owner would pay it and be none the wiser.

Except, I accidentally broke the windshield wiper while slipping the ticket onto the car's window.

Seriously, my day couldn't get any worse.

Things started to perk up when I ran into a gorgeous man in the elevator. We had one of those brief moments that only happened in movies.

You know the deal...your body lights up, fireworks go off, and the air around you crackles with electricity.

His heated stare left me flush when I stepped off the elevator.

Maybe things here wouldn't be so bad after all.

Or so I thought.

Until I walked into my new boss's office and met my competition.

The gorgeous man from the elevator was now my nemesis. His heated stare wasn't because of any mutual attraction. It was because he'd seen me vandalize his car. And now he couldn't wait to annihilate his rival.

There's a fine line between love and hate—and we shouldn't cross it.

We shouldn't—but straddling that line could be so much fun.

4.5 Stars for the new stand-alone We Shouldn’t from Vi Keeland. A sweet and steamy romance that will captivate you and take over so please make sure you have time to finish what you start because you won’t want to put this book down. Annalise and Bennett share a very special connection they work together and they spend most of the time ribbing and snarking at each other but the banter they share will have you giggling and smiling like a Cheshire Cat. Annalise and Bennett’s companies are merging and that means only one postion so the man in charge decides a competition is needed to see who can win the most accounts when they are both pitching for the same account...... Characters with an instant attraction and sizzling chemistry as well as just the right mix of drama and passion, I loved the characters I loved the banter and I loved the storyline all in all a great read. Once again this very talented author give us a story that is romantic, entertaining and witty.

We Shouldn’t stop reading this. We Shouldn’t settle for anything less. We Shouldn’t leave our hearts unattended when reading this new masterpiece by Vi Keeland, because once you blink, you would have missed the story of a lifetime. Seriously I couldn’t stop reading this book, especially after Fox Bennett got a parking ticket from the woman who accidentally took out his car’s windshield wiper that was entangled on her hair. Yep, from that moment on, I know this is a story that would totally consume me. Bennett’s and Annalise’s companies merged but they we’re vying for a particular position and the other one’s would have to relocate to Texas soon. Both we’re competitive and qualified, but only one is needed to stay. These two smooth operators would have you laughing and admiring at their tactics as they proved their credentials. Bennett Fox is an alpha male brimming with hotness that could very well leave me scalded by the end of the book. If I were standing in front of him, I’m sure I couldn’t, wouldn’t, shouldn’t take my eyes off him. And Annalise, bless her heart, she’s one tough cookie who deeply moved me. I loved her the moment she slapped that parking ticket as a revenge. I love the heavy dose of laughter in the book, it felt therapeutic and cathartic to have laughed out loud a dozen times, and shed some tears (okay, I cried a bucket so sue me). Vi Keeland did it again, her stories never fail to delight me. Every time she pens a story, I knew beforehand that it’s going to be a beloved bestseller. Another must-read that We Shouldn’t miss!

When the companies Bennett and Annalise work at merge, they are thrown into a competition to keep their job since the newly formed company will only need one creative director in the San Francisco office. The other person will be sent to Dallas to replace a person who is retiring. Bennett and Annalise are opposites in every way except for their desire to stay in San Francisco. Bennett is a jerk, but as I got to know him better I started to see hints of a nicer person. Our first glimpse of Annalise is her putting her parking ticket on his car and then accidentally breaking his windshield wiper. But after that little temper tantrum, she turns out to be a very fair, honest person. I enjoyed watching the back and forth between these two, and the end was perfection. ARC Provided by Author

Loved this book! Beckett is one book boyfriend that will make your toes curl with that sexy dirty minded mouth of his. Also there are secrets about him that will make you love him even more once you read his story. And I loved Annalise and her crazy, quirky fun self. This book was very entertaining. I really enjoyed all the characters and the journey of Bennett and Annalise love and hate for one another. This book is on "YOU SHOULD" read right now! Fun way to start off 2019 with this book being on my Top Must Read 2019 list!

I LOVE STORY TIME Book Blog More than 1 year ago
This story captured my heart! I adored Bennett and Annalise. The dynamic between them was intense, hot, and super sweet. I loved the way this story was written and how all the secondary characters played such a pivotal role in who Bennett and Annalise were. I fell in love with Bennett immediately. From his sexy, fun personality to his guarded, broken heart, he ruined me completely. Annalise was sugar and spice and absolutely perfect. She was smart, kind, and strong enough to break down Bennett's walls and soothe his scars with her heart of gold. Vi Keeland continues to write the most beautiful, soul touching stories about love and redemption. With wit and passion, they are everything romance readers have come to love. I loved Bennett and Annalise's story. It may just be my favorite yet! We Shouldn’t is such a fantastic read! I highly recommend! ♥ Review by Lys

I found a wealth of heart, hope, smiles, laughs, and love in this book. Bennett and Annalise are an example of the beauty everyone hopes to find in their lives at some point. A lover, a partner that finds a reason to value each and every facet of your being despite the imperfections. Someone who’s soul we want to crawl inside of, to seek comfort, warmth, and love without judgement. Bennett is a man who feels beyond forgiveness and redemption, yet it’s clear from the beginning that while his heart may be broken, ribbons of lacerations so deep, that he is deserving of it. I love how raw his pain was in this book because it made the healing strikingly real. I love how he feels incapable of honor, and yet manages to be a vigilant guard of Annalise’s heart without thought often as he loses himself in the unexpected feelings he achingly develops for her. I love how he fights, and fights, striking to protect himself while giving everything. I love how fiercely he comes to Annalise’s rescue, even though she is a force of her own. Mostly, I truly find Vi’s ability to write a couple that you want to experience in every way remarkable. I loved every moment of Bennett and Annalise’s journey together as they found a home in each other. Annalise is quite possibly one of my most favorite heroines of Vi’s, as she has quirks and little habits that make her fun, laughable, and unique but she is also unwavering in her honesty, kindness, morality, and strength. Seeing her bend and break for Bennett as he fell deeper in love with her stole my breath away. Enemies to lovers indeed, but with such passion that it’s delivery was flawless and everything I want in this trope. I swear, Vi Keeland cannot pen a novel that I simply will not love!

Have you ever read a story that whilst reading made you giggle alot and feel like you are on the ride with the characters that you just couldn’t put it down until you finished?? No?? Just me then?? Well, We Shouldn’t made me laugh alot! It made me love the way the characters ribbed each other, being snarky but the banter was incredibly well done! Bennett’s firm is merging with another and when he meets Annalise well all these thoughts come into his head! Theres alot of emotions in this book, sizzling chemistry and the characters seem to bring out anger and something else out of each other throughout the whole story! But when you think something and try to act on it, it doesn’t always happen the way you expect! Truths are revealed, feelings and when something happens that sheds light on thongs needless to say both Bennett and Annalise do their best! Does he finally see? I loved this story so much especially how it ended! Yes there are definite bumps they have to overcome as in any life but do they have a happy ending?! You will just have to read it for yourself to find out! Such an entertaining book filled with great one liners, rivalry, witty banter, great family and friends and love! The author had done a fantastic job writing this incredible story!

3.5 out of 5 Stars: Vi Keeland has become one of my go-to authors. I look forward to reading pretty much everything she publishes. I was really looking forward to We Shouldn't and as such, I think that my be why I'm a little disappointed. I had my hopes up a bit too high this time around. While I'm not saying anything negative about the book - the story and characters are engaging. I am saying though, that when compared with some of her other work, this one just doesn't quite measure up (in my opinion). I thought the story was a bit predictable. Two very competitive individuals are forced to vie for a single job following a merger between the two companies they each worked for. There's only room for one now. There is of course some animosity between the two as the fight to impress the board and win the position. And of course, they are highly attracted to each other too. I did enjoy the story of Lucas and his relationship with Bennett. He was refreshing - and having a teenager at home, he was totally believable. This is an entertaining story. I just think that Vi has other stories and characters that are a bit for thrilling.

NO SPOILERS! We Shouldn’t was absolute romance PERFECTION! Vi Keeland definitely hit it out of the romance park with We Shouldn’t, and I fell head over heels in love with the storyline and characters she created, as well as her amazing writing style. It never gets old reading a Vi Keeland novel, and I already can’t wait to devour her next release! The storyline was superb. Vi Keeland has an extraordinary storytelling talent, and I’m always captivated by the new stories and characters she creates. We Shouldn’t has hands down been my FAVORITE Vi Keeland novel to date, and I absolutely loved Bennett and Annalise’s story with all of my heart. I loved the concept of the plot and how everything progressed from beginning to end. I’m a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers and office romance tropes, and We Shouldn’t exceeded my expectations in those categories and then some. The plot was fun, sexy, playful, competitive, and surprisingly more emotional than I expected, but so much better than I ever dreamed possible. The conclusion to Bennett and Annalise’s story was absolutely perfect, and I couldn’t have been happier. The characters were out of this world phenomenal. Bennett and Annalise captured my heart from the very beginning, and I fell head over heels in love with them and their story. I loved their personalities and smoking hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Bennett and Annalise’s point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. The push and pull dynamic between Bennett and Annalise was intoxicating, and I couldn’t get enough. I was addicted to them and their unforgettable story from beginning to end, and was more than thrilled with the outcome. Bennett and Annalise have definitely been two of my favorite Vi Keeland characters, and I absolutely adored them and their story. Vi Keeland definitely has another bestselling hit on her hands with We Shouldn’t, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! We Shouldn’t was contemporary romance at its absolute BEST, and Bennett and Annalise’s story has been my FAVORITE from Ms. Keeland so far! Vi Keeland continues to be a top favorite author, and I’m so excited to see what she comes up with next!

We Shouldn't by Vi Keeland is a fantastic read from the very first page to the last. It is told in dual POV's and gives enough backstory to keep the reader wondering. The characters in this book are absolutely wonderful, Bennett is handsome, sexy, and arrogant while Annalise is a beautiful woman who is not afraid to speak her mind. The ad companies that they work for have merged and this is how the two meet, well there is a little bit more to their first meeting than that. Anyway sparks fly, tempers flare and the two dislike each other immediately and both vow to be the winner of the job. This book had me laughing out loud, crying, and fanning myself at times, the chemistry between the two is off the charts. It doesn't take the reader long to realize that there is a lot of layers to Bennett that has to be peeled off to find the true man beneath. Five "Texas sized " stars for this one. Definitely a must read!!

WE SHOULDN’T by Vi Keeland is a contemporary, adult, stand alone erotic, romance story line focusing on advertising account executives thirty-one year old, Bennett Fox and twenty-eight year old, Annalise O’Neil. Told from dual first person perspectives (Annalise and Bennett) WE SHOULDN’T follows the workplace relationship and romance between advertising account executives thirty-one year old, Bennett Fox and twenty-eight year old, Annalise O’Neil. A business merger between Wren Media and Foster Burnett meant Annalise O’Neil had to prepare to do battle for the position of Creative Director of West Coast Marketing, a position currently held by Bennett Fox. Bennett Fox was unprepared for his visceral reaction to Annalise O’Neil but when the head of operations proposes a three-deal competition all bets are off as Bennett battles between head and heart for his job and the woman with whom he is falling in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Annalise and Bennett, and the potential fall-out as miscommunication, misunderstanding and misspoken words push Annalise out of Bennett’s world. The relationship between Annalise and Bennett is one of mutual attraction but Annalise sees Bennett as nothing but a manwh*re and in direct competition for the position she once held so dear. Bennett’s slow seduction of our story line heroine is filled with snark and sass. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and energetic including Annalise’s ex-boyfriend Andrew; her best friend and food critic Madison, Annalise’s parents Matteo and Margo Bianchi, and Bennett’s godson Lucas. WE SHOULDN’T is a story of family, friendship, regrets and love. The premise is spicy and spirited; the characters are animated, flirty, sassy and sexy; the romance is provocative and energetic.

A sexy enemies-to-lovers office romance readers will love! 4 - 4.5 stars! Vi brings us a sexy enemies to lovers office romance that will leave you a little hot under the collar. Annalise and Bennett first lay eyes on each other in an elevator and the attraction is immediate. They both feel a little zing that has them wanting to explore further, until they actually meet and find out they're both vying for the same job. I loved Annalise. She is this savvy, very intelligent businesswoman who is making a name for herself in the Marketing world. After her company merges with another, her first day on the job doesn't start out all that well. But seeing the hottie in the elevator brightened her spirits a bit, until she runs into him in her new bosses office. Dang, it's a shame he's so hot, because now she has to annihilate him in order to keep her job. Bennett comes across as the typical, gorgeous, cocky, arrogant alpha who has no intention of going down without a fight to save his position. But this woman is gorgeous, and before long he can't get her out of his head. I admit, I struggled with Bennett initially, because he said some pretty crappy things to Annalise, but the more I found out about him, the more I understood why he acted the way he did. There's lots of banter back and forth between Bennett and Annalise, and we get to see how they act with each other outside of the office. I loved how Bennett constantly picked on Annalise but did it in a way that she knew he wasn't really picking on her. She has some pretty unique quirks that I fell in love with. Conversely, I loved seeing Bennett interact in the other aspects of his life, those parts really melted my heart. Of course there's plenty of steamy sex that yes, made me very hot under the collar! It made me very jealous of Annalise! Vi never ceases to amaze me with the stories she weaves. Readers are going to go nuts for Annalise and Bennett!

4.5 STARS! We Shouldn't by Vi Keeland was that perfect mix of forbidden and angsty feels. Oh and that cover! Let's just say you're in for a treat with this salacious enemies-to-lovers office romance From the beginning of the story I was already smiling my face off! Bennett Fox will come off as an arrogant jerk with his lethal smirks, but behind the facet hides a man whose scarred and hurting #morefeels. Annalise O'Neil is sassy, sweet, intelligent and nerdy. She's quirky with OCD tendencies. The moment Bennett and Annalise meet it's instant, but it soon becomes the battle of the sexes. Both are competing for the top spot after their marketing companies decided to merge. When Bennett and Annalise finally let their attraction for one another loose, there is no stopping the sparks. It was very hot to witness to say the least This book was the perfect storm! Great backstory and lots of jealousy, sexy, and playful moments. You will not want to miss out!

GREAT book! This is my favorite of the books Vi has published lately, either by herself or as a collaboration. As usual, her characters are very realistic, and that's what I have always loved the most about her books. Anna was flawed, as we all are, and she certainly got herself into some embarrassing situations...in front of others...like we've all done :) Bennett had a bit of a martyr complex where he didn't feel he deserved happiness, but once Anna caught wind of that, the two of them worked hard to be together in spite of it all. But seriously, Bennett is hot. Lol! The ending had a bit of a "An Affair to Remember" vibe to it, and I LOVED it. While I was sort of turned off of Vi's books because of the various medical conditions she depressingly gave to different characters in her books, this scenario was really well done and I liked it very much. Bottom line: This book was fantastic, a true page-turner, and I'll ALWAYS be a big Vi fan!!! (I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)
