YOTTOY’s 10” Corduroy Bear is one of the best-loved bears of children’s literature. With embroidered eyes and a hand-stitched nose, this super soft caramel-colored plush bear is complemented by the rich green of the signature corduroy overalls he wears, which are completely removable. Corduroy’s overall straps attach with Velcro tabs, so youngsters can dress Corduroy again and again. The original Corduroy story, written and illustrated by Caldecott Medal winning Don Freeman, has been a best-selling book for over 43 years. Corduroy’s story is an irresistible childhood classic about a small bear that has lost a button and is afraid he won’t find a friend or a home without it. Corduroy finally finds love, fulfillment… and a button, through the devotion of a young girl who realizes that this bear is special. “This must be a home,” says Corduroy, just as we are sure this bear will find a home in the arms of every child he meets.

For ages newborn and up.

I am so glad you asked. The "Corduroy" toy bear pictured IS NOT the toy received. The bear received was not "plush", the material looked old and used, the bear was thin not plump, the face was not the same, there was no velcro to attach the "missing" button (which is integral to the story), the two buttons were sewn on. I returned the bear immediately to our "local" store. Thankfully the refund was immediate. Sincerely, Jeanne W.

Buyer Beware -- The bear I received is NOT the same bear as pictured. The one I have is much slimmer than the one in the picture, the fur is more stringy-looking and the buttons are embroidered buttons instead of real plastic ones (oh yeah, and there are 2 button instead of just the 1!) I don't know if the company discontinued the bear pictured but, if so, the B&N listing picture needs to be updated as well. Sadly, I have to return it.

The bear I received was not the bear pictured. The bear I received had both buttons sewn on and was a rougher plush material than the one pictured.
