Game of Thrones meets Gladiator in this debut epic fantasy about a world caught in an eternal war, and the young man who will become his people's only hope for survival.

The Omehi people have been fighting an unwinnable war for almost two hundred years. The lucky ones are born gifted. One in every two thousand women has the power to call down dragons. One in every hundred men is able to magically transform himself into a bigger, stronger, faster killing machine.
Everyone else is fodder, destined to fight and die in the endless war.
Young, gift-less Tau knows all this, but he has a plan of escape. He's going to get himself injured, get out early, and settle down to marriage, children, and land. Only, he doesn't get the chance.
Those closest to him are brutally murdered, and his grief swiftly turns to anger. Fixated on revenge, Tau dedicates himself to an unthinkable path. He'll become the greatest swordsman to ever live, a man willing to die a hundred thousand times for the chance to kill the three who betrayed him.
The Rage of Dragons launches a stunning and powerful debut epic fantasy series that readers are already calling "the best fantasy book in years."

About the Author

Born in England to South American parents, Evan Winter was raised in Africa near the historical territory of his Xhosa ancestors. Evan has always loved fantasy novels, but when his son was born, he realized that there weren't many epic fantasy novels featuring characters who looked like him. “So your eyes are open. You see the world for what it is. Is it enough? The world as it is?” “You know it isn’t.” He said. “And perhaps it never will be. But, while we breathe, the best of us never stop trying to make it better, even if just by a little.” Tau is basically just a low level soldier who does his job and doesn’t bother anyone. But after he defeats a noble in a sparring match the royals kill his family to remind him to “stay in his place” and so he has no other choice but to seek revenge. The Rage Of Dragons starts off with a bang and never lets up. It has the best prologue I’ve ever read in a fantasy. I expect my epic fantasies to be action packed and this book delivered all the goods. I was scared to turn the page sometimes. We got political intrigue, epic battle scenes, dragons, & an island full of secrets. It gave me things I didn’t even know I wanted but I can’t talk about because spoilers. My review can’t possibly do it justice so basically I loved this book and highly recommend it. I’ll be impatiently waiting for book two to drop in Summer 2020.
