The Quick and Easy Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, has flavorful quick recipes.  It even has deserts  for the sweet tooth in every one.  They use lots of herbs and olive oil to make the food more healthy. The reason for the three star is I feel it need picture of the recipes.

A Cookbook I Can use Without radically Changing my Diet :  I say this because it allows me to still eat many of the foods I still enjoy such as whole wheat muffins, beans, or potatoes which  are still considered healthy eating by many doctors and nutritionists. It puts more emphasis upon how to quickly and easily prepare foods that are healthy, thus, avoiding unhealthy ways to eat and prepare foods (deep frying meats, fast foods, etc.). It tells you to eat red meat (beef) sparingly; however, it shows you how to enjoy Pomegranate Beef Tips made with pomegranate juice( loaded with antioxidants), olive oil, beef sirloin tips, and other natural ingredients that makes it a very tasty dish.

The title of this states quick an easy and it's true! The book starts out with a brief introduction on the mediterranean diet. Next they offer some helpful tips on saving money for this diet. This neat introductions followed by recipes separated into five separate chapters: Breakfast Appetizers and Snacks, Soups and Salads, Entrees, Deserts and Drinks.

I just started using this cookbook, but so far it seems to work for my lifestyle. It has a ton of different dishes that are all healthy while still being tasty and whole foods--none of that calorie cutting, smoothie fasting sort of thing. There's a variance of flavors and offers some really nice vegetarian options as well.

This book is based on a lifestyle change versus a diet.  The idea is using ingredients that are low in saturated fat, such as fruits/vegetables, whole grains, fish, and olive oil.  The recipes average 5-15 minute prep time and use basic ingredients.  The cookbook has recipes broken out in chapters for breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner, and dessert.  The recipes are somewhat redundant in each chapter, but overall they sound tasty.

This book is, for the most part, strictly recipes; including breakfast, entrees, soups and salads,  desserts and drinks. Although for breakfast you can mostly choose from either omelet or smoothie,  there are several different kinds to choose from. The title isn’t lying, the recipes are simple and to the point to follow – making it my kind of recipe book.

This is the most sustainable “diet” I have ever been on - because these recipes don’t make me think “Oh, I have to eat this because it’s good for me,” but instead, leave me thinking, “Wow, that was really, really good.”  I bookmark pages of recipes that I want to try again, and so far, every one I have made has been bookmarked.  Simple, delicious, and the book even includes tips on how to save time and money - really important for busy parents.  Even better, it’s not a diet where you end up making a separate meal for the kids - it’s an eating style that everyone in the family enjoys.

Smoothie by day, drinks by night This book gives you all recipes you could need to enjoy all types of foods and wines, but by all means, use discretion. This book gives you a good way to have your cake and eat it too without excessive calorie counting that can stop you from enjoying the meal. Enjoy the meal, eat in portions, and include activities in order to live a healthier life and enjoy your life.

I really enjoy the recipes in this book, as the Spinach and Feta Omelet is a favorite of mine. It's all about a healthier eating lifestyle, as the author has built a road map of recipes to help people achieve a healthier eating pattern. RW

Definitely going to give this lifestyle a try – the food sounds amazing and it’s based on simple lifestyle changes.  Can’t argue with fresh food, less processed foods and wine with dinner!

Why try any diet? Because, for the most part, a diet is good for you and your family. The Mediterranean Diet is another way of providing you and your family with some amazing dishes, that are not only good for you, but taste great as well. Every meal of the day is covered, along with healthy appetizers, snacks, soups, salads, mouth-watering Entrees, desserts and drinks. 76 recipes are covered in this short book. I will try the Cilantro Black Bean Burgers for my next meal. Can’t wait!

Many Italian restaurants today in the United States are Americanized and take away from the Mediterranean experience. In The Quick and Easy Mediterranean Diet Cookbook, the book shows numerous ways on making your own Mediterranean meal in the comfort of your own home. Also, guiding you on how save time by planning accordingly and keeping the essential ingredients in your kitchen.

“The Quick and Easy Mediterranean Diet Cookbook: 76 Mediterranean Diet Recipes Made in Minutes,” is a very helpful book for people who are looking for a lifestyle change that offers health benefits. One of the elements of many diet cookbooks is the extensive prep work involved in preparing the recipes. This cookbook however features many recipes that can prepared without intense labor and that is why I enjoy it. I wish it included calorie counts however since calorie counting generally helps me lose weight.

I never knew exactly what Mediterranean food was.  I now know that I’ve been eating it for years! Simple lists of foods to eat and avoid, recipes that are simple and delicious. I am really enjoying cooking!

Watching tv and cooking shows I have often heard chefs making "Mediterranean inspired dishes" and always wondered why it was so popular. This cookbook uses recipes and promotes whole natural foods staying true to what the Mediterranean Diet really is upon research. The cookbook has some very intriguing meals, and it never feels like you are on a diet!

I didn’t get this book for the sake of the Mediterranean diet, but just because it has some healthy recipes in it. I like that these recipes include a variety of meals, including breakfast, soups, salads, appetizers, and main dishes. The deserts seemed a bit odd to me, but I suppose they’re pretty healthy, so they might be worth trying!

This recipe book was fabulous! It was super easy to adapt to the quick and easy recipes and most of the time I completely forgot that it was a “diet” book. I even was able to turn my girlfriend on to some of the foods, and she hates “diet” foods! I am a smoothie fanatic and purchased the book thinking that it would offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal options, but to my surprise there was a pretty lengthy section for smoothies. My favorite being the Strawberry and Hemp Smoothie, don’t knock it until you try it because it is super good!! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a change in meals!!

The book is not so much about weight, which can happen to switch to a  mediterranean diet but  more the health benefits and simplicity of the dishes. The book hit even aspect of that. How people in the mediterranean shop and choose their ingredients for their dishes. This book is a great way to start eating more fresh and quick meals that are very healthy. Great edition to my cookbook collection.

This is not a bad book. It should really be called "Italy & Friends" rather than "Mediterranean", and it includes things like a "curried carrot & sweet potato soup" and "spicy chicken chilli" that don't really belong in a Mediterranean cookbook. Still, simple, easy to follow recipes with good advice for better eating decisions. Not for me, but an okay book.

Kick crash diets to the curb. Let's face it—we all know that crash diets aren't long term solutions. You start 'em and stop 'em. But a real lifestyle change doesn't have a start and stop date. It's simply a way of living. This cookbook gives you that. I love it when you can eat meals that actually taste good, fill you up, and won't leave you feeling guilty afterward. Spicy Chicken Chili or Red Bean Sausage Stew? I can do that!

Avoid diets and instead develop a healthier approach to eating. That is the premise behind the Mediterranean diet. With an emphasis on fish, fruits/vegetables, and whole grains, this is a way of eating that can almost eliminate obesity, type 2 diabetes, and significantly reduce the risk of developing cancer and a number of other diseases. The recipes are tasty and easy to prepare, rich in complex carbohydrates, and low in saturated fats. Highly recommended.
