Overview

Him

James had plans for his life. Those plans were derailed by the surprise arrival of his daughter. His life revolved around her. Then she arrived with her beautiful brown hair that was made to wrap around his wrist, and a butt that was to die for in a tight pair of jeans. Nevertheless, he didn't need any more drama in his life. His ex-girlfriend was stirring enough of that up for ten women. Yet, there was something about her that soothed his soul.

Her

Shiloh's made it her life's mission to protect the innocent children she can from the big, bad, scary things that lurk in the darkness. She has an inane curiosity for life and craves knowledge. Which is why when she starts poking around in her father's business, she inadvertently starts something in to motion that threatens her very existence. Her father, the one man that was always supposed to be there for her, drops her off with a brother she never knew she had and leaves. Making her question the father she obviously never really knew at all. Then she meets him, and she doesn't think her life's so bad after all. The sexy biker turned SWAT officer sets her nerve cells to igniting, and she relishes in every single second of it.

Him

He knew life could change in an instant. One soul crushing instant.

When he's presented with the aspect of losing Shiloh before he's ever even had her, he decides it's time to grab life by the handlebars and ride it like he stole it. Then that threat not only touches his woman, but his daughter. And there's no power on God's green earth that can protect them from a father's wrath.

This series I have to say is the best I have read in a really, really long time. Thanks for the laughs and the cries.

Shiloh is someone that her brother didn't really want in his life. And James didn't need anything else to happen in his life. Not when he has so much piling-up on him already. Yet Shiloh is just wanting to be able say that her bothers and father do actually care. Others don't want them to be together, but they needed to see that what they were really needing was to not care what everyone else thought and live. Once they were able to finally see this things were finally able to come to light that helps them finally be happy. I loved the way that James loved his daughter and even did whatever he needed to do to make sure that she was safe. I could not get enough of them and wished that there was more to their story.

Laughter and tears. Loved all the books in this series and the spin off books.

Fifth in the Freebirds books, an at 278 nook pages well worth the time to reading it again! Glad James and Shilho had their story. Also getting to know her other brother, Seb, an dad too was a bonus! The story is filled with steamy loving, conflict, action, humor, heartache, and over all a story (series) worth reading.****

I've read this book at least 4 times now and every time I do I fall in love with the Free family I bit more. I'm revetted on page 1, smiling, laughing crying. Sad when it ends and looking for more. I think this story is my favorite until I read another. I can't wait to read it again.

There wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this book. While there were still some editing issues, which I"ve found to be true of almost all Ms. Vale's books, they didn't detract too much from the reading experience. Overall, it was an enjoyable story with engaging characters. I will say that if you're reading this on a Nook Tablet, the formatting is seriously messed up with weird paragraph breaks throughout. The sample I read online didn't have that issue, so I think it's an error on B&N's end.

I loved these books and I really glad we will see more of these characters. I am Texan and a vet so I loved the characters and the setting and the storylines. I will definitely read more by this author.

I can't keep buying all the books, but they're so addictive and good. Her characters are so easy to relate to. I cry, I laugh, and move on to the next.

I love how the stories just keep growing and seeing the characters grow in each book.

This book has it all action, suspense, drama and romance. It can be read as a stand-a-lone but I highly recommend reading the series. It would improve your knowledge and understanding of James and most of the side characters and greatly enrich your reading experience. You'd certainly enjoy it and it would absolutely be worth your while. cjbevil

I've been reading all the books in the series and although there are too many car crashes, I've enjoyed them. However, the font on this and the previous book is giant and won't change. Never had a similar issue with other books. I read very quickly, so it's extremely irritating.

I read the book only because I paid for it. The storyline was all over the place. if she could have just stuck with two characters and told the story it would have been much better. but the storyline would go in one direction stopped abruptly and then backtrack somewhere that had nothing to do with anything. every time I got excited that something was about to happen she didn't tell the story. For instance there was an issue with the daughter going to the moms house but then you didn't tell us what happened. Then the dad made some announcement but you didn't tell us what it was and that happened over and over again. They caught the mom sneaking into the house but whatever happened you have no idea because it just ended and went a completely different direction... It could have been so much better if you just gave us one story line with some debts. I understand it's part of a series but even a series should allow the book to be read as a stand-alone. You would vaguely refer to other characters as if I should know what happened and then change the subject . I was very disappointed because I had read the hook up and the friend zone wherethere was a depth to the characters and the involved story from beginning to end so this has to be an amazing auther. and then this is what I get. I'm sorry that you can't return an ebook when the story isn't worth the money.
