I am reviewing the story Drowning in You by Jane Blythe and Amanda Siegrist. Imagine…locked up in the dark…you make an escape…before you can get out the door, you are yanked back into an even worse horror than you had been in, before trying to get away. Will he kill you now? Carter and Jade, homicide partners…a lake, a dead body and for Carter, painful memories. Rose and Evelyn had been chosen by the same foster family and quickly became best friends. They are complete opposites. Rose is quiet, and rather spend a night at a home than go out. Evelyn is outgoing, ready for a party. When Carter and Rose meet, there is an immediate attraction. Carter wanted to take away her sorrow and pain, to protect her. Rose felt safe when she was near him. The beginning of their relationship, the feeling out period, is so sweet. They are like a couple of teenagers and the writing brought the innocence to life. They had both suffered devastating losses, so trusting in love is very difficult for them. They protect themselves and their secrets. I loved watching them learn to share, to communicate. The serial killer is so much more than just a serial killer. Killing people is not his motivation, but he has no qualms about getting rid of anyone that gives him a problem. Are serial killers capable of love, or is it some twisted interpretation? I am in a state of suspense. What is he going to do next? I know it won’t be anything good. I didn’t see it before, but at 66% something triggered my monster meter and I know who he is. Maybe I could have picked up on him sooner, if I was trying harder. Jane and Amanda’s writing has a way of taking me along for the ride and I am enjoy the journey so much that I forget to decipher the clues. I knew the one guy was too big of a scumbag, ya know, too obvious. I wasn’t falling for that red herring. But I really hope he gets his before the story ends. 80%…I know what’s coming and I’m racing through the pages. I can’t stop myself. I need to see how this plays out…NOW. Want a HEA? Come on in! I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Drowning in You by Jane Blythe and Amanda Siegrist.

"Sugar & Spice" By Phoebe Alexander The storyline was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters were written with such great detail and depth that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book! I will update my review as I read the other stories in this wonderful collection!

Someone Worth Protecting was a great read! The author is at the top of her game--both in the area of romance and also intrigue. The two main characters do not seem to be well-matched as the story begins. As our adventure progresses, we see that the Hollywood Hunk is very drawn to his new 5' female bodyguard--and vice versa. You'll be drawn to both of them also! The plot deepens in some surprising ways as they explore their past lives. Our Hollywood Hunk and his petite bodyguard find that they both need each other very much. You'll feel compelled to rush from chapter to chapter through twists and turns to the thrilling conclusion--where they both find someone worth protecting.

The book I’m reviewing is Heartbreaker by Kate Kisset. I really enjoyed this steamy read about Georgia and Harlan. Georgia arrives in Lonesome, Montana to interview Boone Beckett. She meets Harlan first and he’s not happy she’s there. I loved how he messed with her before she even got to meet Boone When you learn his story, you will totally understand. Kate Kisset has given us a page turner that I read in one sitting. I bet you will fall for all three Beckett brothers, while reading this story. I can’t wait to read Boone and Becca’s story when it’s released.

From the Anthology, I read: Drowning in You by Amanda Siegrist and Jane Blythe What secrets lie beneath the murky water of the mysterious lake? Detective Carter Dixson stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the lifeless body at the edge of the lake. Even though he was a seasoned detective, he was still shocked at the brutality of murder. He kept his eyes away from the water as he surveyed the surrounding area. He felt a chill go through his body and he had a feeling that this case would somehow become personal. Rose Gowan was devastated by the death of her best friend, Evelyn. She was the closest thing she had to family and now she felt alone and adrift in a scary and dangerous world. When she met Carter he appeared angry and troubled but when she looked into his eyes, she saw caring and compassion. He promised her that he would find the person who murdered her friend and she wanted to believe him. Rose was attracted to Carter and she hoped that he felt the same way about her because he made her feel safe, happy and hopeful about the future. What will it take for Carter to find the killer, while also keeping Rose safe and out of danger? Will Rose trust Carter with her heart and take a chance on love?

I have only read one book in the boxset so far and that's Drowning in You from Amanda Seigrist and Jane Blythe and it's a doozy. I do plan on reading more but had to get this out now. There an amazing group of authors and I can't wait to see what else is in store: Fear. She's gone. Fear. Someone is killing them. Fear. Don't go near the water. Fear. Someone is watching. Her best friend and confident is dead. So full of life. Looking for love. Dead. They protected and loved each other with no limit, but now she's dead and she isn't the only one. Rose's world has shifted with her friends death but there is a light in her path leading to the man who is suddenly all she thinks about. This time these two authors have gotten together to bring us thrills, intrigue and chills along with a little romance. Each have a past that has kept them bound to their past. They both find themselves in a pickle when bodies start piling up and everything starts escalating. It's a wild ride with plenty of action. I have read both of these author's before and both have a great way of bringing their characters to life and laying traps for readers then spinning us around. I love the suspense and intrigue with characters that you can see and feel. A great story which had me from the start to the last word.

Sugar & Spice (Spicetopia #1) by Phoebe Alexander Featured in the Sweetest Obsessions Boxed Set Collection 5 ++++++++ Stars I just finished Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander and she has done it yet again. Opened up a whole new series to come which is sure to thrill… I can not wait! I loved the Undercover Boss part of this storyline..I could picture it on my television as I loved watching that show and that made this awesome story that much more real. What was fun was seeing when you can imagine the cameras aren't running and the behind the scenes where the amusement park prince meets the struggling velvet queen and the spice part of the story begins. This was an awesome story, it had more than one storyline going on and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire book, which i did not put down once I started. The issues in this book are so so real, I know people in these circumstances and this author hit on so many things that are true struggles today so I appreciated that part of the story a lot. I loved Cy, his impromptu British accent cracked me up and I loved how he saw what he wanted and went after it and Jolie’s story was definitely not what I expected in a really good way. My heart broke for her but her determination and strength was inspirational. This might have been the start of a fun series and there were parts that were fun..I loved Cy’s “boss” Colleen and really hope she gets to move forward into the rest of this series, I think she would be hilarious in the future plans., but there was a very serious side to this book and it made me love it even more. This author never ceases to amaze me and her and her books are an auto one click no matter what she writes. Loved it!

I've only read Laura Lee so far, but so good! This was such a great spicy and short read! I absolutely loved the way Laura took us back to when Ethan & Gabby first got together and then to present day. I always love when authors do that! Laura did it in such an amazing way. She knew exactly when to transition between the two times. Ethan and Gabby are such awesome leads. I love how different they are but also love that their passions brought them together. There was so much hate though after everything that happened in their past. It was awesome to see how they were when they came back together. There was SO much passion between them. Whether it’s hate or sexual passion, just so much passion. A lot of times in short stories you feel a little jipped, but not with this one. Laura gave us the perfect amount of content. It had the perfect amount of emotion and story line. It was great!
