Nothing is more dangerous than family

Police find the body find in the Ohio River. The victim's wrists and feet are bound, and he has a single gunshot wound to the forehead. The locals are baffled until they get an ID.

Lieutenant Ash Rashid doesn't want the assignment, but he knows he has to take it. Because it's a family matter. The dead man was an FBI agent who had infiltrated a suspected terror cell run by Ash's brother-in-law.

Ash investigates and dives into a world in which the most familiar faces are the most dangerous. Every new clue and every new insight he makes leads him closer to his murderer. They also lead him closer to home.

But even as Ash searches, long-laid plans are coming to fruition. Something deadly is coming, and Ash is the only person who can stop it. With the clock ticking, Ash will have to use every skill he possesses to find a mastermind intent on killing as many innocent people as he can. If he doesn't, those he loves most will pay the biggest price.

Discover a thrilling mystery with suspense on every page in Sleeper Cell. If you like Michael Connelly, John Sandford or James Patterson, you'll love this gripping novel.

About the Author

Chris Culver is the New York Times bestselling author of the Ash Rashid series of mysteries. After graduate school, Chris taught courses in ethics and comparative religion at a small liberal arts university in southern Arkansas. While there--and when he really should have been grading exams--he wrote The Abbey, which spent sixteen weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list and introduced the world to Detective Ash Rashid.

Chris has been a storyteller since he was a kid, but he decided to write crime fiction after picking up a dog-eared, coffee-stained paperback copy of Mickey Spillane’s I, the Jury in a library book sale. Many years later, his wife, despite considerable effort, still can’t stop him from bringing more orphan books home. The two of them, along with a labrador retriever named Roy and two young boys, live near St. Louis.
