Overview

He saw her from across a crowded ballpark and knew she was about to change his life.
Yes, he realizes just how cliché that really is, but the moment his eyes locked on her, he knew that she was the one.
At least, the one that royally screwed him over. The one responsible for his demotion and the subsequent disciplinary action taken against him before he'd even gotten out of the probationary period with Kilgore Police Department.
It all started with a kiss.
***
Saylor Rae Spada tried to mind her business. She also tried to not get involved in petty disputes.
However, from the moment she saw him sitting next to her at a professional baseball game, a game she didn't even want to be at but was dragged to by her blind date, she couldn't look away.
Then the kiss cam came on, featuring none other than her and the handsome stranger.
Without missing a beat, he kissed her.
Then her blind date decided to pull a knife and try to stab him.
From that point forward, she's done nothing but cause him trouble.
Trouble that he's starting to find increasingly adorable.

This was a good book but I felt like I was waiting for the big suspense and was a little let down. A hood read and had the humor and love connection that I love from Lani LynnVale. I cannot wait for the next one!

Sinners are Winners by Lani Lynn Vale is the fifth book in her KPD Motorcycle Patrol series. Told in dual POV between Lachlan Downy Junior and Saylor Rae Spada. Quirky, sexy, with instant chemistry and another killer storyline. Lani Lynn Vale has fast become a must read author for me. Lock and Saylor first meet at a baseball game. Between her unfortunately terrible date, the Kiss Cam incident and the terrible date's reaction they part ways. Six months later, the cake lady's cakes that Lock is fixated on turns out to be none other than his Kiss Cam buddy and the chemistry sparks back to life between them. Throw in family connections that they both have and never realized it's a wonder they didn't meet earlier in their lives. The chemistry is hot - Lock's alpha male-ness is smoking! I absolutely adored this story! Enjoy!

This book is about two characters are interlock two different series by the author again … and it happens beautifully! There were some pretty cute moments, as well as heated ones through the book, but the ones that I really loved were the humorous ones. And I get to see one of my favorite characters from all of her books (Kettle!!!) and am happy to see that he hasn’t changed one bit! Lock and Saylor are awesome together and play off each other so well. Lock totally knew what he wanted and he went all out for it when it came to Saylor. And Saylor .. she’s got a little bit of her daddy in her .. can hold her own against the alpha male hotness that is Lock and the members of his family and patrol unit. There were hints of danger and some disturbing happenings during the book that really played well with the overall storyline. And I really liked how the whole thing kind of twisted around and around until it came to a point in a big way. Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I started to read this during some rough moments that I was going through, and it helped me to relax and enjoy while dealing with those moments. The characters are really memorable and the flow of the story was perfectly paced and balanced. Humor was definitely littered through the pages and so was the suspense. I enjoyed the story and am very intrigued by a new character that was introduced and can’t wait for more!! So, two thumbs up and happy reading!

SINNERS ARE WINNERS is book five in Lani Lynn Vale's KPD Motorcycle Patrols series and brings us Lock and Saylor's story. The characters are fun loving, adorably sweet and the sex appeal is off the charts. There are a few spots that could have been developed more but overall a very satisfying story! Saylor is an adorable character. She loves her Daddy more than anything, but she needs to prove to herself that she can live her own life and not have to have him picking up the pieces for her. She's determined to make this life she has built for herself work out. Lock is loyal to the core, and when he makes a connection with this woman who ends up turning his world upside down, he's not going to let the possibility of what life with her can be like disappear without a fight. I highly recommend this series as a whole to anyone enjoying a passionate story with intense characters. They are a group of close friends working towards finding their forever when they each least expect it.

I read this book, then turned around and read it again! Usually, I will pick up a book by this author, and not be able to put it down, but I loved Lock and Saylor so much, I just had to read their story again! This book had all of the thinks I love so much about this author's writing and so much more! The instant, burning hot connection between Lock and Saylor, the elements of danger and surprise, as well as the strong sense of family that permeates all of the books written by LLV. I just can't get enough! We met both of these characters (briefly!) in their parents books, so I felt like I knew them both already. Saylor grew up with challenges that most of us can't even imagine, but still had a relatively perfect childhood. Amazing parents, and an MC that always had her back, there were very few dark spots in her life. But when she moves away, to start her own path in life, it seems like nothing is going right! Lock grew up with a tight family as well, and one glimpse at Saylor totally knocked his socks off! These two were absolutely made for each other, but crazy things keep getting in their way! This book is an embodiment of everything that I've enjoyed about this author's writing. I love that we are now getting the stories of the children from the previous books by LLV. I adore the glimpses of the past characters that I've loved so much! I love that each book builds on the relationships and friendships of past books, but each can absolutely stand on its own. Saylor and Lock were so much fun in their story, and I couldn't help but root for them, right from the beginning! (And, just so you know, there are hints of what is coming next, and I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on it!!!)

From the moment their eyes met at a baseball game, love was in the air. I could feel it. They couldn't look away from each other. And then all hell broke loose! Six months later, they haven't seen or forgotten about the other, but a wedding brings them back together, in style, and the chemistry between them is as hot as ever. I loved the connection between Lock and Saylor. The fact that they were connected by six degrees and that even though they knew the same people, they somehow never met, intrigued me. I loved that Saylor had unique characteristics that I wouldn't have guessed if the author didn't describe them. I'm still trying to figure out why they were necessary, as they didn't actually play a part in the story, but I liked the concept anyway. However, as much as I enjoyed Saylor and her quick wit, she did something that made me cringe. It's something that whenever a heroine does it, I have to question their sanity. When your life is in danger and those who are qualified to protect you try to do so, do as they say! Unless you yourself are qualified, stop thinking that you can take care of yourself in the face of dangerous circumstances. You can't. Unless you have had tactical training, have excelled at some form of martial art, or are a keen gunslinger (or something of the sort), shut up, sit down, and do as your told by the professionals! Okay, so while I enjoyed Saylor (aside from that last little bit), the star of the show was Lock. This man was insanely fine and Saylor said it best: I really liked who Lock was as a person. He was kind, caring, sweet, possessive and hot. The characters and the romance were, as always, topnotch. I even got the chance to revisit with some of my favorite people. I'm so in love with everyone! With a bit of suspense and creepiness to keep things lively, Sinners Are Winners was a winner in my book. There was one person introduced in this story that I'm really forward to getting to know better... Malachi Stokes. His story sounds like it would be heartbreaking and I just know that LLV will make it all worth it!!
