A mother of the groom billionaire romance for the Wishful wedding of the year

Mayor Sandra Crawford has survived divorce. She's survived cancer. But she's not at all sure she'll survive the discovery that her town's billionaire philanthropist benefactor is actually the man she nearly left her husband for almost thirty years ago.

Gerald Peyton, III didn't fight for Sandy back in college--a decision he's regretted ever since. Now Trey's older, wiser, and determined to win the heart of the woman he's never forgotten.

When they wake up married in Vegas, Sandy chalks it up to a reckless mistake, but Trey's not willing to let her go so easily. Can he convince her to give their marriage a legitimate chance, or will she let him go for good this time?

Author Interview

Q: What makes the Wishful series special?

Wishful is a collection of southern romance novels honoring my Mississippi roots. When I started the series, I set out to highlight everything that I love about living in the small town South--all our quirks, foibles, and dreams provide a fabulous (and often funny) backdrop to contemporary romances about stubborn, independent women and the men who love them.

Q: Who would dig these books?

Wishful is a southern romance series written for anyone looking for love in a small town. If you loved Hart of Dixie and miss the residents of Bluebell, you just might fall in love with Wishful. It's a town where everybody knows your name and hope springs eternal! Many of my readers also enjoy the books of Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Kristan Higgins, Melanie Shawn, Ava Miles, and Jill Shalvis.

Q: What order should I read the books in?

This southern romance series has been written so that each story is a standalone that wraps up with a happily ever after by The End. That said, if you want to read them in chronological order I suggest this:

* To Get Me To You
* Be Careful, It's My Heart
* Know Me Well
* Just For This Moment
* Wish I Might
* Turn My World Around
* Dance Me A Dream
* See You Again

Q: Are there crossovers with other series?

YES! My Meet Cute Romance series of novelettes includes two Wishful stories.

* Once Upon A Coffee
* Once Upon A Setup

My WISHING FOR A HERO series takes a look at the more suspenseful side of Wishful.

* If I Didn't Care

Enjoyable read that I wish was a much longer story, but still worthwhile

I am one of those strong women who fights her battles and doesn't want to be saved by others. It's not easy to become part of a cohesive couple, but it can work when you want it so strongly. This story was so real for me. I understood Sandy's dilemmas. Well told.

This was a really slow, boring book; nothing special. I could not get into it at all. I am sorry I wasted my time. I would not recommend.

See You Again is again well written, the sentences are good assembled and you read the story as a calm wave in the ocean. Maybe that is also what bothered me a little bit. Sometimes I like the waves to be wild and unpredictable, so I will be moved and touched and there is no other choice then to go with the flow. Although See You Again by Kait Nolan is a nice story about second chance love, believing in the strength of love and to pursuit that love in every possible way. It’s also great to catch up with previous characters of the Wishful serie, for example you can read how it goes with Cam and Norah.

A lovely story of true love lasting through the years! While most stories today are about young 20- or 30- somethings, it's refreshing to have a story about a couple who both have adult children of their own! Ms. Nolan does such a wonderful job with her characters that it's hard to remember they aren't in their 20s or 30s! The story also shows that true love really can last...and wait for its time to shine. Thirty years after they parted, Trey and Sandra are finally able to give in to their feelings they had when in college together. And do so in a spectacular way! This book is filled with great scenes and hilarious moments. I thoroughly recommend this journey back to Wishful, along with all the other books from there! Please note: I received an eBook copy for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

Another winner for Kait Nolan. I was introduced to Kait's books when I found one of her free ones, and I've been hooked ever since. It was refreshing to read a romance with a more mature couple. Romance is not only for the young. Sandy and Trey have to overcome the hurts of the past to move into the present. I don't want to give too much away, it's an enjoyable story in small town America. All in all, another wonderful story in the wishful series. Thank you Kait for another book to add to my collection. I received an arc of this book and I have chosen to post a review.

I love a good reunion story. This is a great one! Sandy has always put the needs of others, especially her son Cam's first. I enjoyed seeing her take her own happiness seriously with Trey. Trey is a guy we would all like to know and he has never forgotten their time together. I enjoyed the reconnection of Sandy and Trey. There were a few surprises and a happy ending. The wedding of Norah and Cam was a perfect fit for this series. I would recommend this and other stories in this series for a quick and sweet read. I received an advanced copy of the book in return for an honest review.

ARC for honest review with no compensation See You Again is the 8th book in the Wishful series and letting the older and wiser Sandy find that love is better the 2nd time around….. Sandy is the mayor of Wishful and is working with Peyton Consolidated and the CEO’s assistant Nora to help revitalize the town. Nora and Cam (Sandy’s son) have fallen in love and are to be married but a huge storm blows through town and a tree falls on the church. The CEO of Peyton Consolidated goes to Sandy’s office to offer his help to fix the church and he the man she left behind 30 years ago…..Trey…as she knew him and not as Gerald the CEO. Gerald “Trey” Peyton is the man who fell in love with Sandy, 30 years ago but when she chose to stay in a bad marriage he left. He has never forgotten her or his feelings for her. Now he’s in town and wants to help with fixing the church for his assistant’s wedding. When he and Sandy meet again at her office the sparks start flying again between them…. so he takes her to Las Vegas and they end up married…but will they stay married??? Lots of things happening simultaneously, but that’s what makes this story so good…you get to see what has been taking place in Wishful and catching up with the town’s people.

I've read all the Wishful book series and this one was just as great as all the others. A second chance at a long lost love that includes a drunken night in Vegas and an Elvis wedding! It was good to have a story with the mother of one of the main characters. I loved how Cam and Norahs wedding was interwoven into this story. LOVED the whole thing

I received a free copy of the book and have voluntarily written an honest review. Kait Nolan has given us another great book that will fill you with emotions and love. If you have not read any of this series I recommend you do if you like a well written shortish easy read that will fully entertain you page after page. You will fall in love with great little town and the people. I had wished the story was a bit longer but I feel that about most of Kait Nolan novels as I totally enjoy them and don’t want them to finish. You get to read about some great characters. I just love this series and this book was great with the story of Sandra Crawford and Gerald Payton (Trey). Sandra is about to be the Mother of the Groom as Cam and Norah’s wedding is also told in this book. I loved that is story is about a more mature couple that has a second chance at love 30 years later.

I adore every book by Kait Nolan but I have to say, this one really just might be my favorite!! I am a Wishful addict and had been waiting for Sandy and Trey's story and was not one bit disappointed!!! It was nice to see how things began with them and how the came to be then and now but most of all the "older adult" relationship. This is a definite 5 star read and if you haven't yet read the other books in this series, please get to it!!! Wishful is a beautiful place to be transported to!!!

See You Again is a delightful second chance romance featuring a middle-aged couple, Sandy and Trey. I love stories with older couples because I can really relate to them. Sandy and Trey have dealt with life's trials and tribulations and come out stronger and wiser. I was pleased to see the issue that caused them to separate 30 years ago was addressed in a straight forward manner early on. Trey's idea for a surprise date was a dandy. It definitely set the stage for the rest of their relationship. I love the town of Wishful. A community that pulls together to help their own is a wonderful place to live. Even with everybody knowing everyone's business, I would love to live there. I strongly urge you to read See You Again. Kait Nolan's books are well-written and filled with unique characters you will fall in love with. Guaranteed.

I received an ARC but I still would have given this book 5 stars. I love all of Kait Nolan's books especially her Wishful series. I first fell in love with the town of Wishful with Cam and Nora's book and have waited impatiently for Cam and Nora's wedding and finally it was here!! This story wonderfully covers the wedding BUT also the continuation of Cam's mother Sandy with the town's benefactor, Trey. Kait's books will make you laugh and cry and get warm fuzzies! You will want to move to Wishful by the end of the book. You do not have to start at the beginning of the series to know what is going on BUT once you read this book, you will want to go and read them all!

I am new to this author and after this book, I have become a convert. Though it’s part of a series, I had no problems following the plot, so if like me , this is your first book in the series, you’ll be fine. I absolutely loved the story. It centers around Sandra (Sandy) Crawford, and billionaire Gerald (Trey) Peyton. They met when they were in college. She was married and though nothing physical happened between them, it’s obvious they fell in love. CIrcumstances in life causes a separation and any further contact , until almost 30 years later. Others will tell you more about the plot , I will go a different route. This is a love story about second chances. About a woman that has had lots of obstacles in life and because of them is independent and doesn’t want a man to come to her “rescue”. She feels if she lets a man into her life and heart, he’ll want to take over and she will be “lost “ in the relationship. While we have a man , that has loved her all this time and just wants to make her happy . He is learning to understand her. He “gets” her but fears that unless she accepts that his love is one of support and only wanting the best for her, she will never be able to love him fully until she realizes he indeed “gets” her. Kudos to Ms Nolan not only for a heartfelt story, but also for writing a book about more mature individuals. I was gifted this copy of the book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
