This is a very cute book! This is a great book for young children. And to you who said that this book sends the wrong message....this book is for YOUNG children. No teenager who has a car and an ipad would live their life according to this book. This is a about a cat losing buttons. A button can be easily replaced. I LOVE PETE THE CAT BOOKS!! I read them all the time to my preschool class.

Already had Pete and his White Sneakers on ebook. It brought the kid in me out, even sang along. Don't let a silly thing like age stop you. Order this seductively fun book for yourself. If you have children, they'll love it. It's especially fun on the Nook HD+ Tablet, in high definition! Do it. You'll thank me. ~ Bruce Walters. Giving it 5 Fun Stars!

I read this story to my first graders, and they loved it!  They wanted to hear it again, and of course I read it once again!  Pete the Cat is a favorite.  I have ordered all of the rest of the books to go with this one. A-Hum

We love all the Pete the Cat books! I had never heard of them until they were introduced to my son's preschool class by one of the teachers. Now we own them all except for the Christmas one (we'll buy that one later on). Great story/morals and the illustrations are pretty cute!

My 4 year old grandson loves to read and re-read all the Pete the Cat books. The Nook Read to Me eBook is a favorite. Pete has a great attitude and we always ask what would Pete do when we run into an upsetting situation.

My little girl loves Pete the cat and my husband and i always enjoy reading it with her. I disagree with the previous post that this book encourages children to be irresponsible. It is fun, enjoyable and even throws in a little math. Pete the cat will always be groovy in our eyes!

I discovered Pete the Cat at the library and had to own a copy. This book is a delight to the little people in my life and the "singsong" narration makes it fun to read with them. It wears well on the adult reading, though, be warned: it may stick in your head. My grandchildren (ages two and three) "read" it to me when we do FaceTime. I have recommended it to my friends with grandchildren and given it as a gift. "Pete" is a great find. We have enjoyed many of the other Pete books, but this is my favorite.

I love Pete the Cat and in this book, Pete keeps losing his groovy buttons. We, as readers get to help Pete count down from four all the way down to zero as his buttons roll away. Pete sings one of his beloved songs as his buttons disappear and it’s Pop! Oh no, another button rolls away and it’s time to do a little math accompanied with bright pictures and big numbers leading the way. Pete doesn’t cry as his shirt opens up, for we all have one spare button and for Pete, it’s “still all good”. If you haven’t checked out Pete the Cat, you have to pick him up and give him a try, he’s got a mellow approach to life that just makes you smile and his songs are pretty catchy. You can also catch his songs and books on YouTube, I betcha after you see him, you will come away, singing his songs.

My grandson, who is in the 1st grade just loves reading this book out loud. He gets into the " Pete The Cat" groove and sings along like the narrator.
