Overview

One year ago, I graduated from law school and embarked on a career as a purveyor of high priced legal shenanigans.
Six months ago, my boyfriend dumped me when I thought he might be proposing.
Two weeks ago, I got drunk and joined a secret sex club.
Two days ago, I had a torrid one-night stand with a stranger.
Today? My one-night stand is no longer a stranger.
Today, he's my new boss.

Matt Connover is all kinds of forbidden temptation wrapped up in a deliciously wicked package, and he's made it clear... he's only interested in sex.

My name is McKayla Dawson, and I work at the powerhouse firm of Connover & Crown, LLP, where the law has never felt so hot.

But between you and me, I'm afraid my heart won't survive these Legal Affairs.

****
Legal Affairs is a stand alone, full length erotic novel. It follows the illicit office affair of Matt Connover and McKayla Dawson and it's told strictly from the heroine's point of view. Confessions of a Litigation God is a companion novel to Legal Affairs and is the same story but told from the hero's point of view with a lot of bonus content and an extended epilogue.

About the Author

Since the release of her debut contemporary romance novel, Off Sides, in January 2013, Sawyer Bennett has released multiple books, many of which have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.

A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.

Sawyer likes her Bloody Marys strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active daughter, as well as full-time servant to her adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or even better, both.

Sawyer also writes general and women’s fiction under the pen name S. Bennett and sweet romance under the name Juliette Poe.

Wonderful, refreshing and a more realistic view of "love". Love is not easy, but it is worth it.

Nice read, great characters, $4.99 for less than 200 pages for "several" books. Not sure its worth it.

189 pages on my ereader which could make this 1 book! Each book was 10 to 11 chapters. Geeezzzz I guess this autor was looking to make quick buck with the " BOX SET". Will not read this author again.

After reading Volume One as a stand alone and it being left as a cliffy, I had to buy the box set of Legal Affairs. Loved it! I was even sneaking around reading it on my Galaxy while I was at work! I won't go into what the story is about, you can read the synopsis yourself for that information. I will go into how much I loved these characters. I loved Matt as the powerful, alpha male of the book. But we could see from the beginning that there was a softie hiding in there somewhere. I loved Mac because she had the balls to stand up to him and fight for what she wanted. I even loved Cal. I thought it was great that he was a good friend to Mac even though she shot him down when he was showing interest in her. I hated Marissa (was that her name?), the stereotypical beotch of an ex-wife. The kind that likes to put the kid in the middle. Overall, I enjoyed this series and was sad when it came to an end. I whizzed through it in no time and it left me wanting more.

The best free read I have encountered in a long time. Characters well developed, and plot is on point.

From the first few pages I was completely hooked. Both characters are very well developed and their chemistry is off the charts sizzling hot! Truly this book had it all, sex, romance, friendship, compassion, loss, jealousy, anger, love and forgiveness. I laughed. I cried. I lusted. I'm so glad this was a complete box set or I would have been so upset. The ONLY reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to dropped words and that 3/4 of the way through the female stated talking to the reader! That bugged me more than anything. If you're going to go that route, do so from the beginning. Other than that it was amazing and I recommend reading it! AG

Legal Affairs, Box Set: Volumes 1-6. Each book if read separately would end in a cliff hanger and each book contains drama and angst. This is the Love Story of Matt Connover, Litigation Attorney and McKayla Dawson, Mac, a young Attorney working as an associate. They meet through an Online Hook-up site, One Night Only, and each leave thinking that was the best sex of their lives...But Matt ends up being her boss and the hot chemistry turns into hot tension as they both try to avoid each other. Matt makes it clear that he doesn't do relationships and since Mac is obsessed with his "junk" she agrees to nothing but sex, even though she wants more. Break-ups and getting back together happen in between his manipulation verses her doormat syndrome and the the sex got to be just to much before the rushed ending of HEA. I'm a fan of Sawyer Bennett and will continue to read her books. This book just didn't do it for me and I wanted to put it down multiply times. The MCs I didn't like, I couldn't get over his cold manipulation and her blindness to being used. To much breaking and up and getting back together with nothing being solved and then WHAM he is telling her he loves her, I didn't buy it and it felt to rushed. On to the next...

I loved it. I absolutely couldn't put it down. The sex was hot, the chemistry was on fire and the love story in itself filled my heart with hope and joy!!

I enjoyed reading this book. The story line is interesting (even if not quite believable), and the characters are well-developed. It could use one more round of editing but the few errors I found can be forgiven. Overall, I would recommend this book.

Through a drunken dare, McKayla joins “One Night Only,” an expensive escort services that promises to fulfill a night of pure ecstasy with a complete stranger…for one night only. Her first was perfectly gorgeous #134. The whole premise started off kinda fun and sexy. After a night of wild, unbridled passion, the two part ways the next morning with a promise to never see each other again. A struggling lawyer, McKayla soon realized that her company was bought out under the umbrella of a larger firm and her new boss is none other than #134 in the sinful flesh. While flashbacks of that wild night run rampant through her mind, McKayla still manages to maintain her professional image and work for her boss, Matt. It doesn’t take long for the two to engage in “legal affairs”—with hard slams on the desk and all. Still, this is Matt, the cold shark. He doesn’t take to feelings and always believes in professionalism. Such a dicey situation for McKayla, especially when she starts to think that there may be more between them. That’s when she realizes that she’s having “wonderfully hot sex with an emotionally closed man.” It’s so bad…yet so GOOD. Matt was brutally honest when he tells he that he thinks with his d#ck, not his heart, which makes him a fantastic, bulldog lawyer. The lawyer biz is a vicious battle while two headstrong characters engage in a fierce love/hate relationship, in which they hate to love and they love to f#ck. It’s certainly a rocky affair from start to finish, but what a trip it is. Can McKayla break through his steel barriers that surround his fragile heart? Well-written and enticing.

I loved this series. I got it as a box set and I was glad. If it was individual books with the extreme cliffhangers I would have been really upset. Matt is sexy, confident and kind of irritatingly stubborn at times. But the sizzling hot chemistry between Mac and Matt is intense and I loved every minute of it. Great read. About 210 pages on my nook. I’m a avid reader and Sawyer is an author I will look out for in the future.
