Overview

The thing about being a Hunter is it gives you patience.

When I lost her, I bided my time.

I can’t forget her supple body, bending to my will. I can’t forget the youthful squeals of pleasure as she panted out my name. I can’t forget how she made me feel like a hero instead of dangerous man.

My sweet, innocent Blossom.

Then she was taken from me.

Anger fuelled me, and I became even more deadly.

Years have passed, and I’ve moved on with my work.

Keeping the world safer by killing those who seek to harm the innocent.

A vigilante.

But instead of finding her, she’s found me.

And with her comes a child with my blood pumping through her veins.

Just one more deadly game. Then she’ll be mine.

Then we’ll be a family.

WOW WOW WOW Love this second chance suspenseful novel by the one and only Alexis Abbott. The world is not always black and white. There is the gray also and that is where Hunter comes in. Righting the wrong. Then there is Blossom. Her and Hunter met years ago. Something happened that split them apart. Now years later Blossom wants to be a true crime podcaster. Oh I just fell in love with little Flora!!! With all her cute chubbiness 5 year old self. Will Blossom and Hunter be able to stop the real villian before something happens to another innocent? Go get Hunter's Baby to find out. Highly recommend.

Definitely not the story I was expecting, along with the plot twists, I was biting my nails in anticipation of how things would play out. I don't think this story is for the faint of heart, but Alexis Abbott always had a way with telling a story that draws this reader in. Blossom and Hunter seem to work and mesh well together, and Save and Flora were the perfect secondary characters to this story.

Great second chance story. If true soulmates exist then this couple will make a believer out of any skeptics. The plot does briefly touch on a sensitive topic which to me actually makes it even more heartwarming. I think this more of a romantic suspense, which is great and I totally enjoyed my time in their adventurous and somewhat dangerous world.

“My white lilac prince”...3.5 stars! Hunter’s Baby is a second-chance romance about two young people who fell in love when they were younger. Growing up in the foster system, Hunter’s childhood is cold and cruel, until he meets her. Blossom is innocence and everything good, an angel who soothes his damaged soul. When Blossom’s parents discover she is pregnant, they whisk her away from the small town to Albany, NY. This leaves Hunter unanchored and directionless but makes his way into the world wondering about Blossom. Five years later, Hunter is a changed man, his soul is darker than before, but he only kills those that prey on those that can’t protect themselves. A vigilante killer, he’s inspired by the idea the world is safer for his angel, Blossom, wherever she might be. A chance meeting brings Blossom and Hunter together in a small town where she is investigating a murder. Hunter is looking into the small face that looks so much like him, and knows instantly Flora is his daughter. But Blossom has uncanny skills of deduction and she can’t ignore the fact she and Hunter always met under a lilac tree. Can Hunter be the serial murderer who leaves behind his calling card with a lilac? When danger threatens Flora and Blossom, Hunter’s determined to protect what’s his. He’s not letting Blossom get away this time. But can she love a man with darkness and secrets? Great ending and a wonderful second chance at love. Hunter’s Baby is suspenseful and action-packed. Ms. Abbott once again delivers the goods on an interesting, gritty plot with plenty of twists. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Mr. Symbolism This is an excellent story and one I thoroughly enjoyed reading. An act of Fate reconnects Blossom and Hunter after a 5-year absence. Their love was denied when they were younger, but can they really have a life together when secrets hang in the balance. There are plenty of twists and turns that make this an intriguing story; certainly a book I would have no hesitation in recommending. What Hunter is doing is making the world a better place; he is a concerned citizen standing up for the people who cannot stand up for themselves. Hunter often thinks of Blossom, wondering if she is safe and happy. Blossom had met Hunter at a crossroads in her life; he was a troubled, older man, who had been in and out of foster homes most of his life. Over the summer the two became close, until Blossom was sent away; it was a cruel punishment and no matter how hard Blossom searched for Hunter, she never found him, and he never found her either. Now Blossom is a 23-year old single mother, living with her daughter, Flora, and her sister Sage. Blossom works at the Lazy Bean as a barista, but one particular man is a prickly customer and she has been serving the obnoxious regular for years. Blossom knew his type immediately, instinctively, from the first day she met him and he has never proved her wrong. He was a man who hated women, especially young, pretty ones like her. Blossom’s dream is to become a journalist; starting her own podcast would be a way to break into the industry. Blossom wants to investigate the lilac murder for her new podcast; the murderer’s calling card intrigues Blossom and it is the reason for her impromptu weekend retreat. As Fate would have it, Blossom and Hunter cross paths again after 5-years apart; how will he act now, knowing he is Flora’s father? As time goes by, it feels like they have never left one another. For Blossom this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to reconnect and she doesn’t want to let Hunter go. He may be a different man to the one back then, but she is sure he would never do anything without good reason. Blossom is a different woman too, but cannot keep lying to herself about why she is here and the coincidence that brought her back to the man she loves. Blossom is determined not to lose Hunter again, but she needs answers. When Flora is nearly abducted, it is time for Hunter to reveal the truth, leaving his fate in Blossom’s hands. Meanwhile, a psychopath has been systematically targeting them relentlessly. Now it is time for Hunter to do what he does best; protect his family. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Five years ago, Blossom couldn’t be happier she was in love with Hunter, a man who others might not have approved of, but who made her feel protected. In the blink of an eye it was torn away and after much struggle she has started a new life with her daughter and her sister. When Blossom disappeared all those years ago his search for her wasn’t successful, so he moved forward with his life, but he has never forgotten about her. They reunite by chance and the chemistry between them is stronger than ever. The fact that they are in the same place at the same time isn’t coincidence but will the secrets between them cause a wedge too large to overcome? This is a second chance at love story takes you on an adventure filled with suspense, twists and red hot chemistry. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Alexis has a way of pulling you into her books and this was no different. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. Summer and Hunter were together and fell in love. When she becomes pregnant her parents take her away without Hunter knowing about the baby. She has escaped her parents and she and her sister raise Flora together. Five years later Summer sees Hunter. Is it fate or a coincidence they see each other again? Their love for each other never went away and their connection to each other is stronger than before. When Hunter realizes that someone is trying to hurt his family, he promises to do whatever it takes to keep his family safe. This book kept me on the edge of my seat wondering who the real villain is. I will admit I did guess wrong and was surprised when it was revealed. I laughed , cried and had some OMG moments. This is a great romantic and suspenseful book.

WOW, that author has done it again and brought us another wonderful story. I just loved Hunter and Blossom’s story. I loved how they both no matter how much time they were apart they remained so much in love with each other. Their hearts were like waiting for that moment in time when they would be reunited. Hunter was living in darkness and you have to ask yourself if Blossom will get past the life that Hunter was living. Hunter had already justified what he was doing and wanted Blossom to understand. I have to say I could see Hunter’s reasoning. I tried to picture all the emotions Hunter was felling to find out he had little girl. To know the life that he was living and know that now he would want to be an example had to be hard. Things get pretty rocky and dangerous for Hunter, Blossom, and their small happy family. I love how these two will come together to do what ever it takes to keep the ones that they love safe. This was truly a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book Blossom is far removed from her past. Physically, she works as a barista at the Lazy Bean, but mentally she's still that young girl starving for more. She had that once with a young man who, though rough around the edges, would do anything for her...up until things got out of control and their secret romance was taken away. Saying it was for the best but, in reality, it was the absolute worst. Blossom spent years searching for Hunter to no avail, finally giving up on a life with him and trying to move on. Hunter never imagined, even in his wildest dreams, he'd run into Blossom, especially like this. He's hardened himself after his girl was taken from him. He's not the same man. Hunter is now a vigilante disposing of the most vile humans known to man. Gone is the carefree boy who lived to be with Blossom. Hunter would love nothing more than to be the man Blossom once knew. Blossom has moved on. She has a young daughter and, to Hunter, seems happy. He's dangerous. It's dangerous for her to be near him. Although he wishes things were different, it's time to leave the past where it belongs and continue what he's started. When Hunter finds out the real reason Blossom left, he's conflicted. Things become much more complicated than that. Blossom is in town doing research for a podcast she's developing about a possible serial killer. What she doesn't realize is that Hunter is in town also because he has some important business pertaining to the victim. ACTION PACKED AND SUSPENSE FILLED, ORIGINAL STORYLINE WITH WELL DEVELOPED CHARACTERS ! PAGE AFTER PAGE, THE STORY FLOWED EFFORTLESSLY ! A MISSED OPPORTUNITY THAT RESULTS IN A SECOND CHANCE AT FOREVER ! INTENSE CHEMISTRY AND INSANE ATTRACTION THAT NEVER FADED AND REIGNITED WHEN THEY WERE FACE TO FACE AGAIN ! STEAMY, SEXY AND SCORCHING HOT ! AMAZING STORY FROM START TO FINISH !
