I'm kind of a lady, but definitely more of a weirdo.

Hearing the woman at the table behind him say that to her friend should've turned Logan Gibbs off.

It doesn't. In all honesty, it only makes him listen harder.

He's had enough weird in his life to last a lifetime. The last thing his complicated life needs is a woman in it who has no clue what color you get when you mix yellow and blue together.

Yet, her obvious blonde moments aren't enough to deter him. Nor is her lack of finger-painting skills.

I'm a cop, not a miracle worker.

Hearing the man in the group behind her say that should've had Katy Roberts running away as fast as her feet would carry her. Katy's father's a cop, and it's hard enough to live her life with Daddy trying to dictate her every move. She needs another cop in her life like she needs yet another thing to go wrong.

To add onto that, she can't find a job, has no love life to speak of, and has to be the oldest known virgin in Kilgore, Texas.

Yet, when she sees his painting—a painting that resembles a piece of the male anatomy more than the lighthouse they were supposed to be painting—she knows that she has to give him a chance.

The very last thing the two of them expect is for her father and his boss to force them to marry after an eensy-weensy accident. An accident that, surprisingly, both of them want.

The plot has good potential but the conversations between the characters is supremely uninteresting. The writing style is pretty annoying, as well. I couldn’t finish it.

I love it when characters that I have known from early on come back for their own story. I remember Katy from BOOMTOWN and then from CENTER MASS. She was very sweet and her start in the whole world of LLV’s was spectacular. But I always thought she was going to end up with someone else. But I can’t say that I was upset in anyway with this book. I think this might be one of my favorites now. I liked the characters, but what I really liked was the story itself. What Logan went through in his past was really upsetting and to learn more about him what made him was really eye opening. And his interactions with Luke … hate to say it but I found this amusing. They have a very interesting relationship (yeah, that was sarcastic!). But what really made him interesting to me was how he treated Katy and the lengths that he would go too to help someone else. And Katy, wow did she change. And her past is heartbreaking at times. It was great to see her come back and find out more about her. But what made me empathize with her character so much was her strength and outlook. Yes, she made mistakes in her past, which she admits too. And she doesn’t let that define her, even if she has effects because of it. Overall, I loved this book. The characters are memorable and easy to get emotional with and for. The story kept me entertained and engaged. The beginning was a touch slow, but it really picked up and flowed well until the end. AND … this is the start to a whole new series that contains the kids from previous series’! Again, I love going back and seeing how they age and what they are up too. So bonus for me!! In my opinion, two thumbs up and happy reading!!

Hide Your Crazy by Lani Lynn Vale is the first book in her brand new KPD Motorcycle Patrol series. This is my first book by Lani Lynn Vale but it will NOT be my last. I am absolutely intrigued with the peripheral characters to this story knowing they must have a book out there just from the snippets in this one. It seems like this is a next-generation series to the author's Code 11-KPD SWAT Series and also a spin-off or set int he same world as her Bear Bottom Guardians MC series. Anyway - back to the review for HIDE YOUR CRAZY - Sexy, steamy and a little bit dangerous - Katy has a sleepwalking issue, a dog that only listens when it suits him, and a new upstairs neighbor who paces. Add in the crazy ex that is about to be released, the neighbors crazy ex-wife and a screaming baby and her life is as crazy as you can get. But throughout it all - the bond of new friendship and attraction that blossoms between Katy and Logan is pure and honest. The supporting "cast" is just as quirky and the tale is addicting. Loved this! Slightly obsessed now. Enjoy!

3 1/2 stars -- I stayed up past midnight last night so I could read the latest Lani Lynn Vale book. I always love her stories. I enjoyed Hide Your Crazy, and the characters were a lot of fun, but it just felt like it was missing something. There was, for lack of a better word, a missing spark. I read the entire book in one sitting, but I kept feeling like it wasn't Ms. Vale's usual level of book. It almost felt rushed. All the right words were there, but the emotion behind them didn't seem to have quite the same punch as her books typically do. I'm still glad I read it, and I will continue with this series, but it's not my favorite.

Katy and Rowen were some of my favorites of all of the kiddos from the earlier books, probably because we had more interactions from them than some of the other kids. This is Katy's book, and it was everything I could have hoped for her! Katy is a daddy's girl. But she also has her daddy's tempter and stubbornness! She had an amazing life, until those two traits led to one of the biggest mistakes of her life. Now, she is putting her life back together, moving on, finding herself again. Until she runs across Logan, one of her dad's officers. Logan's life has been a comedy of errors. One bad thing right after another, all pile on top of each other. And it doesn't seem likely to change anytime soon. Together, their problems seem to multiply, but it doesn't seem to be as bad! This book had me in tears, both emotional and from laughing so hard! Katy and Logan are absolutely perfect together, and their personalities seem to mesh so well! I just couldn't help but love them and their story. It was a fun book, in a crazy, warped sort of way. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, I realized I really had no clue what was coming next! This was definitely a good start to a new series, but I still enjoyed visiting characters from previous books!

The past always seems to have a way of interfering in the lives of Vale’s characters, whether it’s a series of bad choices or mistakes, guilt over things that seem to be holding on regardless of how long it’s been or the fact that they’re not to blame, or old flames/off-kilter people of the opposite sex who don’t understand that they’re not wanted anymore. All of these things have a way of impeding any forward progress for the hero and heroine’s relationship, and while having a supportive family around is supposed to be seen as a positive, it also can become a burden when those people think they know best or demand that they follow the path laid out for them, not the one they would have chosen for themselves. In Vale’s new series, KPD Motorcycle Patrol, readers are brought back to Kilgore, Texas, and introduced to the next generation of characters whose stories have already been told. The heroine, Katy Roberts, is the daughter of Luke Roberts from Center Mass and her leading guy is Logan Gibbs, a police officer himself and one who works for Katy’s dad. From the start of the story, it’s clear that these two really have no business taking up with each other, but the body and heart want what they want, and for some reason, one that neither Katy nor Logan fully understand, they’re drawn to one another and are willing to fight the odds and those who don’t approve of their relationship to be together. But here’s the thing…both Katy and Logan have a whole heaping mound of baggage in the form of crazy exes and somewhat overbearing families, which means that their lives are challenging enough on their own, but blending their two lives together and all that comes with them, hiding their crazy, whether it be of their own doing or the actions of others, is damn near impossible, meaning they’re going to be tested time and time again and how these two react in those situations and how they come out of them will speak to who Katy and Logan truly are and just how much there is to them than most people know or care to understand. By now, it should be beyond clear just how much I love Lani Lynn Vale’s books, and from the beginning, my pull to her stories had a lot to do with the flawed and quirky characters she creates as well as the sense of family that is built in to every series and every book written. Vale’s series center around headstrong, dependable, and gorgeous alpha males who all protect and serve in some capacity and feel the need to control everything in their lives, even their women to a certain degree. And the women Vale matches her heroes up with seem, at times, like hot messes who would be more of a headache than anything else, but it’s their eccentricities and unique personalities that draw their guys in and make them willing to do just about anything to stand by their side. Katy and Logan’s story is a great start to this new series, and I can’t wait for more! 4 Poison Apples

4 1/2 STARS! A fast paced, steamy, unputdownable read! Lots of familiar faces show up in the kick off of Lani Lynn Vale's Kilgore Motorcycle Patrol series. The characters are quick to grab a reader's attention, and though their relationship happens quickly, the connection between the two makes it feel believable. Lots of sass, a touch of suspense and a whole lot of yummy goodness! Looking forward to more in the series. Police officer Logan Gibbs has a penchant for getting into trouble, so his newly appointed motorcycle patrol stint is kind of his last chance before he's booted out the door by the boss who just doesn't like him. If only he wasn't accidentally lusting after the boss's daughter to top it all off! Katy Roberts is starting a new job and life is looking up until finding out that her maniac ex is soon going to be out in the world again sends her reeling into panic attacks and night terrors. Good thing the studly cop upstairs has decided to keep an eye on her. It doesn't take any time for sparks to fly and flames to ignite!

I probably say this every time, but this was one of my favorite LLV books! While it was easy going for the most part, it did touch on some emotional issues that penetrated the surface of what could have been a light and fun romance. Don't get it twisted, this story had plenty of hilarity, but the humor was tempered with heartfelt moments. Telling a man that you already have a man won't stop him from wanting you. But if you tell him you used to be a man... Logan's backstory was heartbreaking. I just wanted to give him a big ol' hug. He deserved all the kindness and happiness in the world. I'm telling you, this man is a REAL man. LLV created a stunner when she gifted us with all the sexiness that was Logan. And Katy, her story wasn't any easier to bear. This sweetheart just needed someone to love her right and she couldn't have asked for a better person than Logan. These two fell together almost instantly and it worked. They didn't cause any drama for the other, they had each other's back, and their love was so lovely. "It feels like I've known you my entire life. It feels like, from the moment that I met you, my soul knew that you were the one made to complete it. Honestly, it feels like a dream. Like we're stuck in some romantic movie that only has one ending - happiness." I don't see myself ever falling out of love with these stories. I'm constantly falling in love with these heroes and most of the heroines are my boos. With an incredibly beautiful ending, this story will most definitely find its way onto my bookshelves. If he's willing to give you the moon and the stars, you should be willing to sacrifice Uranus.

As usual LLV gave us a story we can get lost in. I couldn't put it down. Katy captured our hearts since Boomtown then we got to see her parents fall in love in Center Mass.
