Overview

In the finale to the award-winning Talon Pack series from NYT bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan sets, the final Brentwood must find his mate as the war with the Aspens comes to a close.

Cheyenne Liles has watched all of her friends mate into the Talon Pack and have their lives changed forever, one by one. She’s stood back, helpless to assist in the war with a rival Pack. But just when she thinks her time with the Talons is over and believes she should move on with her human life, the Aspen Pack Alpha takes matters into his own hands, altering her fate far more than a single mate mark ever could.

Max Brentwood used to be the smiling one, the only Brentwood who was somehow able to save his soul during the last Alpha’s reign. But his life was irrevocably changed one fateful day on the battlefield, and he was never the same again. Suddenly, Max is forced to face his future and make a choice when Cheyenne comes into danger: let fate decide, or watch his world crumble around him.

The shifters of this world have fought demons, humans, and themselves. Now, it’s time to find out who they truly are as the war between the Packs ends, and the moon goddess finally takes a stand.

I loved the story of Max and Cheyenne. These two are perfect for each other. They sacrifice so much and I was so glad to see they finally got their HEA. This book was the perfect ending to the Talon Pack series. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

Final book in the Talon Pack series by Carrie Ann Ryan. Max is a solider in the Talon Pack but not part of the hierarchy. Through the years of fighting Max loss his arm and a little bit of his soul. After years of fighting and trying to make something of his dysfunctional pack. Things start to look up when things start to get back to normal and family’s start to have babies which haven’t happened for centuries. Cheyenne has been friends with Talon Pack for a long time and has been eyeing Max but they have been passing each other in the night as such but Max wolf didn’t recognise Cheyenne as his mate. After Cheyenne was attack by Blade Max’s wolf woke up and noticed her as his mate. I did feel this was a bit slow for me and I had to push myself through first part of the book but once Cheyenne was attacked and max realised they were mates. The main battle was really good but felt Blade got killed too easily but I did like the whole Supreme Alpha thing. I definitely enjoyed this book more as a audible audiobook especially with the very sexy narrator Aiden Snow. I usually don’t like male voice but Carrie Ann Ryan choices for narrator are fantastic. Shame we won’t find out more about next generation of the Talon

Sad to see the last book in this series, but a great way to finish. Great interaction between Cheyenne & Max. A very enjoyable story.

This was a great way to end the series. I was crying, laughing, and yelling at it not to end. But it was a bittersweet ending and if it had to end than I couldn't have asked for a better ending. I'm so glad we got to end on Max. He deserved his own book and mate. Can't wait to read what Carrie Ann Ryan comes up with next

Amazing conclusion to a fantastic series! Forever Broken is the finale to the Talon Pack series and it definitely ends with an explosive bang! I have liked every book in this series and each one continues to get better. With this one, the final battle with Blade is coming, but he has some more tricks up his sleeve and he is willing to destroy everything to get what he wants. Including innocent lives and bonds that go bone deep. Carrie Ann Ryan pulled out all of the stops with this book. She brought back older characters from the series and integrated them seamlessly in this book. Cheyenne’s character is such a powerful female character in this book. Her determination and resilience really surprised me and made me like her more. And Max … WOW. He is very pragmatic, but he is so much more than that. He really steps up to the plate in this book and I feel that made the story so much better! Overall, completely and utterly AWESOME! This was an epic conclusion. The characters are very likable and the story was easy to follow. The tension culminated into an ending, that while surprising, totally fit with the progression of this series. So, two very big thumbs up from me! Happy reading.

Bittersweet ending to this series (and the extension of the original Redwood series too). Many twists and turns to get us to this book - don't start with this one, it's definitely not a standalone. Start with book 1 of the Talon series! Loved Max and Cheyenne and their chemistry. They both have hurdles to overcome to reach their HEA but it is worth the read and anxiety to get there! Sad to see this great saga end but it was well done.

OMG, this book was AMAZING! Jam-packed with emotions and oh so bittersweet. Even though this is the last book in this series, there are so many more characters (including Audrey and all the pups) that I sincerely hope Ms. Ryan returns to the Pack sometime down the road, even if it's a bit of a different direction, and tells their tales as well. Both Cheyenne and Max in prior stories were more quiet and subdued than the rest so it was wonderful watching them both come out of their shells and find love. The war between the Packs has been heating up to intense levels and now we finally get the exciting conclusion. A superb story in one of my all-time favorite series.

Max finally gets his turn. Our laughing, funny loving wolf who has been dark and brooding the last few books gets his own story. Of course, there has to be unusual about his mating given all the issues also experienced by his cousins and siblings. Cheyenne is ready to leave and say goodbye to all her Talon pack mated friends. This book is full of twists and turns and even the Moon Goddess makes herself known. 4.5/5 Stars

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I hate when a series I loves ends, but Carrie Ann Ryan knows how to end on a awesome note. The Talon pack has been through so much since the start of the series and have only gotten stronger. Max Brentwood is one member that has been through more than one person can possibly go through and stay sane. He is the family member that was not blessed by the Moon Goddess with a high position of power in the pack and he was perfectly fine with that. He was the happy brother/cousin after the hell that they went through as kids, however none he’s not so happy go lucky anymore. Cheyenne Liles has learned that there is more than just humans in this world, it also has shifters and witches, crazy yes but she can handle it. She has also watched has her three best friends find love in that supernatural world and as shifters and witches they will all have to watch her the human grow old and fade away and she doesn’t want that so she starts pulling away from them. Omg, so much happens in this story and it all starts with a kidnapping and attempted murder and ends with a blessing from the Moon Goddess that changes things forever. Max and Cheyenne have always been sort of drawn together, watching the others from across the room whenever they are together. I totally love that Max, who has been through so much, found his mate in Cheyenne they totally make sense together. Together they have to do what they can do find a end to the psychotic Alpha of the Aspen pack Blade. Ryan has done it once again, wrote a beautiful love story within a story that has a ending of old ways and the beginning of new. That has a hint of danger, a touch of mystery, a lot of passion. I am sad to see the end of the Brentwood family, glad to see that they finally get the happiness that they deserve, and so very pumped to know that we have not seen the last of the shifter world from the mind of Carrie Ann Ryan!!!!

Max remembers the days that he was happy but all that changed the day he lost a battle and part of his arm at the same time. He may be part of the pack physically but emotionally he feels that he doesn’t belong and that no one would miss him if he wasn’t there. Cheyenne knows that feeling well. She has watched her friends find mates within the Talon Pack and in the process have become immortal. She knows that is only a matter of time before the differences in their lifestyles will cause a rift too strong to overcome. When fate throws them together will they find the other half that they have been looking for or will their relationship end with the threat? This is a romantic story about two people who complete each other. The story takes you on an adventure filled with suspense and twists and is a fitting ending to this wonderful series.

This is the heart melting, action packed, stunning conclusion to the Talon Pack series. Cheyenne and Max's story was truly everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful, sweet and steamy, this couple easily steals your heart as they struggle with the chaos and danger around them; while at the same time finding their other half and perfect mate. I love a book that has a couple that fits perfectly together and for me, Max and Cheyenne did. They made each other more and they made each other better. Of coarse there is a lot going on story wise as all the drama, danger and suspense that has been building during this series reaches the boiling point. I'm sad to say goodbye to this amazing series but I am happy and satisfied by the ending.

This is book 9 in the Talon pack series and you absolutely must read the previous books so you know what is going on in this one. There is a bigger story ARC that these books push along. This one is about Max Brentwood and Cheyenne Liles. Max used to be the pack member who was always smiling and was ready to laugh and make people's lives just a little bit lighter. But that changed when he was hurt on the battlefield. Now his family and friends look at him and try to figure out how to get that person back not realizing that he is still the same person, he just knows the horror's of battle now in a way he didn't before. Cheyenne has watched all of her friends become part of the supernatural world and has slowly been trying to back away so that they don't have to watch her grow old and die because she isn't a part of it. But now the Aspen pack Alpha has dragged her into the middle of their battle and has altered her fate more than anyone ever saw coming. I loved this book! Cheyenne is brought kicking and fighting into a world that she really didn't think she was fully a part of, but she adjusts and shows everyone her strength in a way that made her one of the best women characters written in this series. She is afraid but she still stands up and fights for what she believes is the right thing. I always wondered how Max's story would play out and this was the perfect way for him. He is strong but he still manages to show the people he cares about that he really does care about them. I was leery at first to read this one as I know it's the last book in the series. I love this series and I was worried that the last book wouldn't do the ending justice and leave me hanging. I can honestly say, this book didn't do that to me at all! All of my questions have been answered and the book was written in such a way that this world can always have another off shoot series written in the future-which made my day! The ending is absolutely perfect for not only this story line but the series as a whole. And with the ending happens, if there is ever a return to this world, it leaves it open so that we may see some of our favorite characters again! I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the series, even if I am sad to see it end. Loved it and I am so glad that all of the little lines and connections had some sort of resolution.

Oh my heart, oh my nerves, oh my moon goddess, this is a wild ride that goes nowhere you expect, but ends exactly as it should! The Talon Pack saga draws to a close with this book, but this isn't a sedate send off, this is the wildest story yet, and if you have read any of the books in the series, you know that is saying something Max and Cheyenne have a fate thrown at them by the moon goddess. They don't shy away from it, though neither knows what it means, or where it is headed. Some seriously scary things happen, and all hope seems lost, and even when a clear path to victory seems clear, nope, twists again. Up until the very end, you still don't know how they will pull this off, and then, super shocker, and it all falls into place As broken as Max seems to himself, he doesn't feel that way with Cheyenne. As confused as Cheyenne is with everything happening, Max calms her. They have more than a bond, they immediately understand each other. The chemistry they have, that has always been there, can now be set free, as they fall in love with each other The wolves unite to face this unknown fear, and in the end, Max and Cheyenne stand tall together, Talon's forever!

The finale to the Talon Pack series is a bittersweet story. In an interesting twist, Max and Cheyenne become mates thanks to the moon goddess. Max was forever changed when he was permanently injured during a battle but Cheyenne saw past his physical difficulties. This is a thrilling story with a wonderful ending. I enjoyed this story so much, as well as the other books in the Talon Pack series.

What a way to end the Talon Pack series! I mean it was impossible to put this book down because I needed to find out how it all ended. I was so not disappointed! I loved Cheyenne and Max. I couldn't imagine their story happening any other way. I am thrilled to get this book but it is also bittersweet because I have loved every book in this series and saying goodbye to these characters is hard. I only hope to see more from the Redwoods and Talons down the road.

This book left me with many mixed emotions. I have been reading CAR books since I was first introduced to Jasper and the Redwoods. I was not ready for the end of this world. Max had a special place in my heart from the beginning. I hurt for him and the changes he suffered after his injury. I also loved Cheyenne and wanted them both to have their HEA. Watching them to grow as a couple and bring peace to the packs was wonderful. I personally loved to hate Blade. He was so good at being evil. It was wonderful to watch him get his just desserts. I loved this book! It was an excellent ending to this series. I’m sad to see it go.

I really had mixed emotions about reading Forever Broken, on one hand I love this series and have been waiting for Max's book for a while but knowing this is the last one for a while is sad!! Carrie Ann didn't disappoint though Forever Broken might just be my favorite of the series. Max Brentwood has always been a happy guy with a smile on his face, being the youngest Brentwood he was shielded from a lot of the evil his uncle and father brought the pack. That all changed when the war with the humans came to their front door. Max almost died in that attack, loosing his arm was the price he paid. Max feels he is broken and on the outside looking in on his pack and family, everyone is mated and has been blessed by the moon goddess with a position in the pack, everyone but him. Cheyenne Liles feels left behind in a way, all of her friends have mated into the Talon pack and now are immortal. Cheyenne has made the decision to pull away from her friends, not wanting them to see her age and eventually die, its the only thing she can do. Until one night leaving work the threat to the Talon pack comes to her, kidnapping her with an intent she doesn't want to think of. Forever Broken has all of the feels.....it is a story about two people who hardly know each other but have so much in common come together for the greater good of the pack. Max and Cheyenne have to find their way through a very difficult situation to save the pack and find out that they had a destiny that neither one of them could have foreseen.

The emotionally thrilling conclusion to the Talan Pack series had me all over the spectrum of reactions from laughing out loud to sobbing like a baby... (much to my hubby's discomfort) Yes I was that girl crying that one of my favorite series came to an end and I devoured the last bit.... Such a highly entertaining and riveting read, coming to the end was sad but still loved this heart pounding adventure.

Wow!! What a fabulous ending to an epic series! Cheyenne and Max's story will at times leave you teary eyed, anxious, breathless, and elated. The two people who thought they didn't fit in completely are the two that are destined to save them all. This has all the drama, action and passion of the rest of the series but gives you the story behind the Moon Goddess and pack history. I don't want to to spoil anything, but I loved how deep down they always knew they were meant for each other and that new love and mate bond enables them to face the evil that is Alpha of the Aspen pack...it's just soooo good!
