Wilhelm Hauff (Wilhelm Hauff, 1802 - 1827) - is a German classic writer, short-story writer, the author of a few fairy tales, novels, stories and satirical works. Hauff did not live for long, but he managed to do a huge contribution to the world literature. He became one of the bright representatives of the literary movement "biedermeier", who idealized the everyday lives of ordinary, "little" people. The fairy tales by Wilhelm Hauff differ by their philosophical deepness, fascinating plot and unusual heroes' reversals of fortune. It is interesting to read them to children and adults.
