The Arizona Vengeance are developing a reputation on the ice as one of hockey’s top teams. But one player’s reputation off the ice might just keep him from scoring. . . .

I’m having the time of my life with my new brothers on the Arizona Vengeance. We may be an expansion team, but after notching some big wins, the entire league knows to watch out for Erik Dahlbeck. That’s me.

The only person who doesn’t seem to think I’m so great? Blue Gardner, the hot-as-f*** flight attendant on our team plane. I sure wouldn’t mind joining the mile-high club with her, but besides bringing me lukewarm coffee, she won’t give me the time of day. Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way, my teammates think it’s hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies

When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.

But first I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?

Praise for Erik

About the Author

Since the release of her debut contemporary romance novel, Sawyer Bennett has written more than thirty books and been featured on both the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists on multiple occasions. A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real-life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to contemporary romance, she writes something for just about everyone. Sawyer likes her Bloody Marys strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active toddler, as well as full-time servant to two adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great workout, cake, or even better, both.

Chapter 1

Gotta love the weather here in Phoenix. Blue skies, eighty degrees, and a few white, fluffy clouds that will sometimes give you respite with cooling shade as they roll across the sky.

Dax and I stroll along behind Brooke and Bishop, who honest to God are so into each other I’m surprised their souls haven’t melded or something. Ever since he brought her back from New York just a week ago, they’ve been attached to each other every damn day. They returned to Phoenix to enjoy a week with only two home games and plenty of time in between for whatever bit of making up they had to do.

Although I’m not quite sure they were ever broken up. Didn’t seem that way. Bishop had texted me that Brooke went to New York to get her head back on straight and that he was going to help it along.

So he went there, screwed it back on apparently, and now they’re back.

When they asked me today if I wanted to go to the harvest festival over in Scottsdale, I thought why the heck not? It’s not like I had anything better to do with myself.

The festival is set up along the canal with various vendors selling crafts, spicy food, and pitchers of margaritas. There’s live music, salsa dancing, and a host of kids activities going on. After the sun sets and it goes from eighty degrees to an awesome sixty-five, the bars and restaurants with outdoor seating will be packed. The trees will be lit in blue or white lights, and it’s a popular place for couples to come and hang out.

Or not.

Dax, Legend, and I have come down here a few times and hit a couple of really great bars.

Brooke and Bishop veer right and head toward a booth that’s got handmade copper wind chimes. Dax and I mosey over as well.

“These are so pretty,” Brooke says, her fingers lightly trailing down one. The sound it produces is really nice.

“I’ll buy you one,” Bishop says, pulling his wallet out.

“No,” she says with a laugh, putting her hand on his arm and pushing it back toward his pocket. “I don’t need you to buy every single thing I say is pretty. Just because I say it’s pretty doesn’t mean I want it.”

Bishop leans over and nuzzles her neck, whispers something in her ear. Her face blushes a pretty pink and she swats at him, casting a furtive glance around him at Dax and me to see if we just heard what he said.

We didn’t, but I can guess it was something really, really dirty.

“I’m going to get another margarita,” Dax says to me while throwing a thumb toward Brooke and Bishop. “The Cleavers over there making moon eyes over each other are starting to get on my nerves.”

“I’m hungry too,” I say in agreement as we look around for the nearest food and alcohol vendor. We spot a place down a ways and I call back to the lovebirds. “We’ll be down there drinking when you’re done.”

Bishop waves in acknowledgment and we take off.

“Glad those two worked things out,” Dax observes as we plod along. “But they probably want some alone time, don’t you think?”

“Yeah,” I say. “And I don’t want to look at that arts and craft shit. I came for the food and liquor.”

“Yeah,” Dax agrees enthusiastically. “Because we’re real men.”

“Except Bishop,” I say with a snort. “He’s turned into a pussy.”

“And Legend,” Dax adds, which makes me guffaw.

Legend declined coming with us today because he’s doing some work on his house he’d bought. He took the plunge into home ownership very seriously and he’s been spending all of his free time painting, staining, refinishing, and refurbishing shit around his new place.

Up ahead is a stage and it looks like a new band is getting ready to start. A smallish dance floor has been cordoned off in front of it where earlier we watched some salsa dancers. The music starts as we put our orders in for huevos rancheros with spicy chorizo that are served on paper plates and margaritas in tall plastic cups.

We step off to the side, snag a high table, and listen for a while as we eat. The band is playing good ol’ classic country music, which is so not my thing, and I don’t recognize a single song so far. Apparently, though, the music is enough to entice people out onto the dance floor, and soon enough couples are two-stepping around in a counterclockwise circle.

“What do you want to do tonight?” Dax asks. I feel for him a bit. Bishop is his best friend and roommate, but Dax has been hanging with me since Brooke entered the picture. Now he regularly spends time with Legend and me on our nights off.

“The Sneaky Saguaro?” I suggest. It’s become our go-to hangout.

“Sounds good,” he says, and then gives a mock shudder. “But I’m always afraid that crazy bitch will show up.”

He’s talking about Nanette, of course. She’s become quite the menace to our team recently, and I’m eternally grateful that I never hooked up with her. Dax hasn’t said much about the few times he screwed her, but I take that to mean she wasn’t that great. Usually forward women like that are a lot of talk and are pretty much boring as shit in bed.

Still, regardless if I srewed her or not, that bitch still named me in a bogus sexual harassment lawsuit, so she better not show up. No telling what I’d do to her.

“Hey, Erik,” Dax says looking at something over my shoulder. “Isn’t that Blue? The flight attendant?”

I whip around so fast I knock my margarita off the table and it goes flying into some low bushes. My eyes scan the crowd for her golden yellow hair and sexy-as-shit body.

Dax laughs and says, “God, you have it bad for her.”

I so do, although I haven’t admitted that out loud to anyone. The fact she won’t give me the time of day makes her infinitely hotter to me for some reason.

Pure and simple, she’s become a challenge to me, because I’ve yet to meet a woman I want who hasn’t at some point yielded. I figure she’s playing hard to get, and I very much enjoy the chase.

Finally I see her through the crowd. She’s walking slightly bent over, perhaps carrying something heavy with both arms. For the life of me I can’t figure out what, and then the sea of people parts and I see her clearly.

She’s bent slightly because she’s pushing a wheelchair. In it is a young man, and although I couldn’t begin to guess his age, he’s definitely an adult. Then I notice a few other people in wheelchairs, each with someone pushing them. None of the people in the chairs are children, though. There are also a few adults that are ambulating with assistive devices like walkers or hand crutches.

“Think she works for a group home or something?” Dax asks, indicating that he sees what I see.

“No clue,” I tell him. “Maybe she volunteers there or something. I figure she has to make pretty good bank working on the team plane.”

“You’re probably right,” he says.

This is Erik Dahlbeck and Blue Gardner’s story and what a story it is. We first met both these characters in Bishop the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series from Sawyer Bennett and I have to say I was intrigued by them both from the start. Erik managed to annoy Blue the first time he met her and nothing he has done since has been able to melt the ice around her; she is determined to ignore him which just frustrates Erik. Erik has always been a playboy, but he has a heart of gold, if only he could get Blue to see underneath the surface. However Blue is determined to ignore his charms and goes out of her way to avoid him. It brings to mind the comment “the lady doth protest to much”. When Erik learns that Blue not only has a career as a flight attendant but also looks after her handicapped brother Billy he is beyond impressed. He is bound and determined to get Blue to see the real him and in doing so develops a beautiful friendship with her brother. Blue notices the friendship building between Erik and Billy and in turn realises that there may be more to Erik than she originally thought. I loved the camaraderie that was built not only between Billy and Erik but also the rest of the team, it was so endearing and gave me chills. I loved Erik to me he was a guy determined to make life better for someone else and he certainly has some swoon worthy moments in this story. I admire the strength and determination of Blue and the care and compassion she has for Billy. When Erik and Blue finally get together the c harts and had me riveted. There is plenty of action on and off the ice and I cannot wait to see where Sawyer Bennett takes this team and I am excited for the next release in the series.

Erik is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance Series and I loved it! I love how Sawyer Bennett tells a story and this time it is Erik Dahlbeck’s turn at his own story! He might have once been a man-whore but, he surely isn’t now! I fell in love with Erik. He has changed and changed for the better. Blue Gardner would have nothing to do with him because she had met him 5 years earlier and at that time he was a man-whore. Fortunately for them both they have both changed for the greater good. Blue flat out turned down anything Erik tried to say or ask. Letting him know just what she thought of him. He didn’t give up though and asked her out another time and she finally said yes. I love their story and the way Erik treats Blue & Blue’s brother is wonderful. He really is a nice guy! Oh, and when Erik and Blue get together things really can heat up between the two of them. I can’t wait to read more about these men from Arizona Vengeance team! Legend is next and I need to know his story! 5 STARS for ERIK!

I love a good second chance romance...not sure if a one night stand equates to a second chance but either way I really enjoyed Erik and Blue’s story. We get to find out why the flight attendant has a grudge against the hockey player. While I loved the chuckles I got from Blue blowing Erik off, it makes sense after the reason is revealed. I loved watching Erik interact with Billy. It warmed my heart seeing how kind Erik was and how selfless he could be. While these two grew tremendously during their time apart, I felt Blue’s turmoil was relatable on several levels. My only complaint is that the ending was too abrupt. I definitely needed more of these two.

Love a second chance romance.....this is another great hockey romance from Ms. Bennett. I love these hot hockey stories with cocky jocks who fall hard for their women. Your gonna love Erik. It was funny, charming and it'll make you a fan of the whole series. You'll love all the characters you meet and their interaction with one another. Erik is a well known hockey player, the strength and determination that made him so great on the ice transferred over in his attempt to befriend and woo the reluctant Blue. Blue seemed liked a tough cookie, the more we got to know her the more we realized how kind, compassionate, and centered she really was. There was so much to love about her character that she quickly won me over.

Another terrific book from this author, I love her work. This one was a second chance at love for Erik and Blue. It was heartwarming and uplifting all at once. Erik was great, I loved how he was so caring and sweet. Blue had a chip on her shoulder, but once she got over that she was sweet and fun loving. I loved the two of them together, but when a accident happens will they be able to get through it together? I loved this book and can't wait for the next one.

Erik is a renowned player on and off the ice, but his reputation is standing in the way of the insane attraction he has to one of the teams air-hostesses, Blue. Blue has a lot of guilt and regrets she carries on her shoulders like a proverbial boulder weighing her down, one of those secret self-condemnations Blue carries is her one night with Erik five years ago. A night it seems Erik doesn't remember in the slightest. Adding feelings of insignificance to the abundance of negativity Blue already has to create an explosive atmosphere between herself and Erik. Especially when Erik sets his sights on the beautiful Blue. Erik is a quick read taking the reformed player trope and making the main character so adorable and endearing you wonder why he would ever have been a player in the first place. Winning Blue over isn't an easy task but Erik is up to the challenge, even accepting Blue's mischievous dare in order to secure a date with her !!!!! Things fall quickly and easily into place as Erik and Blue grow closer; Erik's outlook on life and relationships is completely unexpected but real. Unfortunately, Blue's own baggage is the biggest barrier and ultimate test to their burgeoning relationship.  I loved how the resolution to the relationship problems played out while getting to know a few more of the peripheral players in greater detail. Bishop and Brooke make a cameo appearance, while the foundation is paved for Legend to take the limelight in the next book. Quirky girls for the win x

I had a great time with this book! This is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance series but it could easily be read as a stand-alone. Anyone that has had the chance to read the first book in the series, Bishop, will recognize quite a few of the characters but there should be no issue if a reader decided to jump in here. This book really grabbed me right from the start and I ended up reading the whole thing in a single sitting. It really was a joy to watch Blue and Erik figure things out. Blue and Erik were both great characters. Blue works as a flight attendant on the hockey teams plane and she is anything by impressed by Erik. When she isn't working, she spends her time trying to be there for her disabled brother since she is all he has left after the death of their parents. Erik can't figure out why he keeps striking out with Blue. When he sees her out with her brother, he starts to think that there is a lot more to Blue than he originally thought. Erik and Blue both show a lot of growth over the course of this book. Blue has had to deal with a lot of things during recent years and she has a lot of guilt from some of her past actions. The fact that she was able to give Erik a chance and forgive him was a big step and I liked the fact she wasn't afraid to apologize. Erik didn't grow up with the best role model when it came to dealing with women. He has changed from his younger days and is willing to go the extra mile when needed to win over Blue. I loved seeing how he was with Blue's brother. I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. I had a great time watching Blue and Erik fall in love. This short book was able to blend some swoon-worthy moments, a touch of humor, steamy scenes, and more serious moments with ease. I can't wait to read more of this wonderful series from Sawyer Bennett! I received a digital review copy of this book from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.

For some reason I skipped reading Bishop (book 1 in this series) and I’m kinda regretting it now I know from her Cold Fury Hockey series that Bennett delivers sizzling page turners and Erik proved no different. Blue doesn’t like Erik and she’s not afraid to show it. He’s not sure why, but he’s going to find out. She sure isn’t going to make it easy, though, and from the very first I knew it would be entertaining. Things have pretty much gone his way up to this point and Erik’s not had to fight for much. But the more that he gets to know Blue, the more effort he’s willing to put in. Charming, sharp, and sexy, he plans to pull out all the stops to show Blue why he’s worth giving a chance. If you are looking for a spicy read that has heart, Bennett is definitely a go-to author. She knows how to make things hot but she also gives you delightful characters and relationships that you can really get involved in. (While Erik is part of a series, it can easily stand on its own.) **Review given honestly and freely after receipt of a reader copy. This opinion is completely my own and was not influenced in any way.**

Erik, a starting player for the Vengeance, is a player. He's charming, funny, with a smile that makes women fall at his feet--except Blue. Blue can't stand Erik and everything he stands for. Blue works hard as a stewardess for the Vengeance and often works two jobs just so she can provide for her special needs brother, Billy. Erik has never had problems with the ladies, but Blue is a mystery to him. She's cordial, but on the cool to downright rude side. But Erik vows to get to the bottom of her hatred of him. As a child, Blue always wanted a sibling. When her brother was born with special needs, she didn't mind helping her mom care for him--until she graduated and wanted to leave to pursue dreams of acting and/or singing. Swamped with guilt at not being home to help with her brother when her parents died, Blue immediately moves home to make her brother her only priority. While Blue used to be a "party girl", she isn't that person anymore. Therefore, Erik the "player", is off limits. Woohoo! Great story, awesome goodness! I loved the interaction between Erik and Billy. I felt as though he showed Billy love and attention because he truly enjoyed spending time with him--not just to earn points with Blue. I loved that Tacker was opening up a bit more as well. I love that Erik was able to alleviate some of Blue past guilt while showing her he was a changed man. I about died when Erik insisted Blue attend her high school party to rub it in the "mean girls" faces that she was gorgeous AND dating a pro hockey player! HILARIOUS!!! Sooo relatable! I highly recommend this novel! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

I was anxious to get my hands on Erik and Blue’s story since we met them in Bishop. Erik is a professional hockey player playing for the Arizona Vengeance. He’s been know to be a player off the ice as well. Blue is a flight attendant for the teams private jet. She was a sassy little thing that wouldn’t give Erik the time of day. I was interested in seeing why she was always so short and snippy with him. When I read her reason I totally understood. This couple quickly fell into a relationship and I enjoyed every minute of it. I LOVED how he treated her brother! Of course, he was great to her too. He may have been a former player, but when he got the right girl he became a one woman man. I adored their story and can’t wait to read the next one in the series. I really, really can’t wait to get Tackers story.

Erik & Blue ... second chance lovers? Erik and Blue ... second chance lovers? Erik Dahlbeck has just become my new ice hockey BBF. He is simply the man of my dreams. Yes, he may have been a playboy, but beneath that outer exterior is a man with an absolute heart of gold. This man certainly knows how to treat a lady right, when he has the right one in his arms. His sights are set on Blue Gardner, but unfortunately for him, she wants noting to do with him. Something that really frustrates him because he can't understand why. This was a terrific story ... a second chance at romance ... even though Erick can't remember their last encounter until Blue provides a few prompts. Erik chases Blue relentlessly ... she finally relent with one condition ... oh revenge can be so sweet. Blue's life hasn't exactly been a bed of roses, even now she has the responsibility of her younger handicapped brother Billy. It is actually through Erik's interactions with Billy that she decides to give Erik a second chance. I loved watching their relationship grow from enemies to friends to lovers. I really enjoyed their story and, as usual, Ms Bennett throws in enough hotness to keep the cooling fans blowing strong. i really look forward to reading Legend's story next, especially if his neighbour is going to feature. These men of Arizona Vengeance are certainly given the Carolina Cold Fury boys a run for their money. Read and Reviewed for Reading Is Our Satisfaction FIVE STARS

Book 2 of the Arizona Vengeance can be read as a standalone but is so much better when read as part of the series. I remembered the uncomfortable chemistry between Blue and Erik in 'Bishop', so I was very excited that they were the next book in the series. This book surpassed my expectations for their story and I loved the challenge Blue gave Erik for a date. Highly recommend this series and this book. Can't wait to see what is in store for Legend next!

What a great addition to Sawyer Bennett's Arizona Vengeance series! Erik is a slower burn romance with second chance, enemies to lovers, as well as friends to lovers elements. Though this is book 2 in the interconnected series, it can be enjoyed as a stand alone. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Erik, since he came across as quite the player in Bishop. I was very curious about how things would develop between him and Blue and what caused their antagonistic relationship. They had such amazing chemistry from the start and though they didn't have the best history, I loved seeing these two move beyond their pasts and really connect on a deeper level. I think what really hooked me though was that both Blue and Erik recognized who they were in the past and made efforts to change and grow. They took responsibility for their actions and didn't judge the other for how they used to be. So often I read about the reformed manwhore and the near virginal heroine, but this time it was refreshing to see that Blue was just as in touch with her own sexuality as Erik. Circumstances in her life force her to re-evaluate her choices and change sooner than Erik, but I liked that both accepted the other - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Another wonderful addition to the story was Blue's brother, Billy. I loved their sibling relationship and also the friendship that blossomed between Billy and Erik. Some of the very sweetest moments in the book involve Billy. Erik was a pretty low angst read and the drama that did occur late in the book resolved fairly quickly. Readers get more of a happy for now conclusion, but with more books in the series on the way, I know this won't be the last we hear of Blue and Erik. A bit of page time is actually spent setting up the next book in the series, Legend. I'm really looking forward to seeing how things unfold with his neighbor, especially since fellow teammate Dax seems to be sort of in the mix as well. I think the story I'm most interested in at this point though, is Tacker. My heart squeezes every time at the mention of him and I can't wait for more in this series! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

What a crazy wild, and sweet emotional love story. I love the Cold Fury series. and the Arizona Vengeance spin off is just as fun and sexy. Erik has always been a player both on and off the ice, but there is just something about the team’s flight attendants, Blue Gardner. Blue doesn't have time for Erik and his parting ways, she has responsibilities that include taking care of her disabled bother. When Erik finally breaks through and discover that they have met before and it was not his best moment, he is more determine than ever to get to know her, and what he discovers is he wants more than a casual affair. Of course nothing goes as plan, and they have to fight to make it work. I though this was wonderful story, beautifully written, full of love, life and passion. I was hooked from the get-go. Next up is Legend, and I can't wait.

Another fun sports themed romance! Loved that Blue made Erik work for it - she wasnt going to fall for his smooth talker ways. There is some history there too that added fuel to the fire... Also loved tha t Erik was so accepting of Blue's special circumstances. Warmed my heart and made the story.

Book 2 in the Arizona Vengeance series brings us Erik and Blue’s story. Blue works for the Vengeance as one of their flight attendant crew. She helps care for her handicapped younger brother while working a full time job. She doesn’t have time for flirting and playboy hockey players looking for hook ups. I liked how Blue was a bit of a hard ass to Erik and didn’t give in to his charm right away. She has a little bit of animosity towards him from a prior meeting with him 5 years prior but Erik can’t remember her. I think the hero of this story is Erik! I loved loved loved him. He really likes Blue from the get go and I adored how he wasn’t all about just the hooking up with Blue, but he was ok with just slowly getting to know her and her brother. I like how she has just the right amount of hockey in the story that it does not over whelm it. The bromance between Erik and his teammates is laugh out loud funny as heck. The “waxing” locker room conversation had tears rolling down my face. The chemistry between Blue and Erik is HOT. I loved the pace and lack of drama in this story, it was just 2 people who really like each other and want it to work out. Every time I read a book of hers I want more, more more! I love how she introduces a lot of secondary characters that make you want a book of their own. I know Legend is the next book in the series, can’t wait to see what happens with him and Pepper. The person I can’t wait to read more about is Tracker. That broken man needs a HEA and I hope we get his story sometime in the future. Great read that I would highly recommend. I would highly recommend the whole series. I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book.

Erik Dahlbeck is one of the newest members of the Arizona Vengeance hockey team. He enjoys his share of time in the spotlight as well as the beautiful women that follow with fame. His skills both on and off the ice have his fans fawning all over him, except for one particular flight attendant that won't even give him the time of day. Blue Gardner, one of the lead flight attendants on the Vengeance charter plane is used to men flirting with her and trying to get her into bed... and Erik Dahlbeck is just like all the others. Blue only puts up with his attention for the sake of her job to provide for her younger brother and pay for his care at an assisted living facility. She doesn't have time for men that only want to play games and continuously gives Erik the cold shoulder. After learning that he and Blue share a past, Erik is determined to show her that he is more than just a handsome hockey player. He has never felt a pull towards a woman like the way that he is drawn to Blue. Will he be able to prove that he can be serious about a relationship and that he truly cares for her? Or will history repeat itself leaving Blue with a broken heart? (I received an ARC of Erik from Sawyer Bennett and Penguin Random House in exchange for my honest review.) Erik's story is the classic tale of a party boy that is determined to prove himself as more than just a a good roll in the sheets. He is willing to do what ever it takes to win over Blue, including care for her brother who needs extra time and attention. Together Erik and Blue can have a fairy-tale ending, if only their past doesn't get in the way. This is the perfect romantic novel for hockey fans!

There is always something so great about a second chance romance. This one though I really connected with. I loved that Erik didn't remember Blue and that she didn't put up with any stuff from him. He strived to show her how much he had changed and how much he wanted her and wanted to be a part of her life. This is another great hockey chain from Ms. Bennett. I love these hot hockey stories with cocky jocks who fall hard for their women. Another great read!

I love Sawyer's hockey series. She makes it so easy to get sucked into this world that she has created for her readers. Every book is oh so good, but this book was a bit different for me. I of course fell I need love with Erik and Blue. But I found myself so excited for what could be happening with characters in future books. There is so much potential for what is coming up next in this book that readers can't help but get excited.

"The fact she won't give me the time of day makes her infinitely hotter to me for some reason." I guess his being a pro hockey player makes it pretty mind-boggling for him when his advances are shut down in no uncertain terms. Blue makes it extremely clear that she wants nothing to do with Erik, the enforcer for the Arizona Vengeance. What makes it even worse is that his team mates thinks it's pretty hilarious that the player can't play, at least not with her. When he gets the opportunity to see her off-duty, hanging out with her brother who's in a wheelchair, he becomes even more intrigued. He sees a softer side of her when she's with Billy. When she's not withholding her smiles she's even more breathtaking. His infatuation becomes an obsession as he attempts to get past her walls and convince her to give him a chance. Blue has little money and a lot of responsibility. She needs to concentrate on her brother, she doesn't have time for an arrogant hockey hunk. "I wish he wasn't so easy on the eyes, as it would make it a whole lot easier to ignore him." But ignore him she does... I really enjoyed this sweet story. Billy pulled not only my heartstrings but the rest of the team as well. I knew that Blue wouldn't be able to resist him forever and I loved the slow build as Erik pursued her. As this new series progresses and I get to know the guys better I'm getting more and more excited for the single ones to find their ladies. Being a sucker for the broken ones, I'm especially drawn to Tacker. He'll probably be last, because I want him most, right? The line forms here...

Hockey Romance at its BEST!! Ladies, yes you, this book is phenomenal. I LOVE when a bad boy gets his head out of his rear posterior and learns to fly straight!!! Blue and Erik, phenomenal couple, they are definitely made for each other. Well at least after Blue realizes that Erik is not the as… donkey he used to be. Sorry, have to keep this PG. I love this story. I really enjoyed watching Erik have to work to win Blue back. You see, he does not remember meeting Blue before… at least not the first time, or even the third time he sees her on the Vengeance plane where Blue is one of the flight attendants. He can’t figure it out why Blue is always giving him the cold shoulder. So when Blue tells him before she would even think about dating him she tells him has to get his…. Sorry ladies, not spoilers. I will say this…. It was VERY painful, and he took a lot of flack from his team mates. I think one of my favorite parts in the book does not have anything to do with Blue and Erik. It pertains to Legend another player on the Vengeance team. If you are a love hockey and are a fan of the Penguins and/or Golden Knights, you will know what I am talking about when you read this book. Again, sorry ladies, I am giving nothing away. If you want to know, you will have to read this spectacular book. OK, now I am conflicted. I have been a fan of Ms. Sawyer’s Cold Fury series from the beginning, OMG this series is just as great, if not… no, I can’t quite say better…..yet!!! If you like a great hockey romance, then this book is definitely for you. YOU! WILL!! LOVE!! THIS!! BOOK!! Thank you for reading my review.

4.5+ stars. Oh Erik - you are such a player, but it is a joy to see you fall. So Erik has met his match with Blue, a flight attendant on the team's plane. There are layers to Blue that Erik doesn't realize and layers that come as a surprise. This book had more depth than you would expect from knowing Erik in Bishop's book. This can definitely be read as a stand alone, but the Arizona Vengeance are so much fun - you might as well start at the beginning. This one was a fun read with some real heart to it. Looking forward to Legend's book! I voluntarily requested and reviewed an advance reader copy.

Erik Dahlbeck has just transferred to the Arizona Vengeance team, and having known quite a few members through his previous teams, he’s settled in more than quickly, with a reputation that proceeds him. Being recognised and fawned over is par for the course, especially amongst the women. Except one of the team plane flight attendants; Blue Gardner. She won’t give him a look, let alone the time of day. In fact, she can act downright irked. What has he done to get on her wrong side, and why does it bother him so much? Blue Gardner has deviated significantly from where she envisaged her life plan would take her. Some out of stubborn choices, but others out of familial loyalty. She just needs to earn the money and stay out of the way of presumptuous hockey players. Especially those with selective memories. I’m enjoying this new spin off series from Sawyer’s Cold Fury range. There are already quite a few characters I’m amped to read of further, no more so than Tacker Hall, the Captain. Seductive, charming and playful.. Could a playboy ever change? Do second chances really exist? Do we learn from our mistakes? Erik is a hockey star and playboy. When he meets Blue on the team private jet he is drawn to her and so starts his flirtations. Right from the beginning she wants nothing to do with him. She knows how much of a playboy he is and wants no part of it. She is a different person than she was years ago. No more of the playgirl but now with responsibilities. But the more time goes on the more Erik tries to get Blue to go out with him. Finally she agrees after daring him to do something and he does. From then it was like a transformation of sorts. Erik is no longer the playboy but a respectable, dependable, caring guy. He treats her like the gem he thinks she is. They make such a great couple. Yes there is a sexual attraction but also so much more. Erik becomes someone who means so much to her in such a short time. But can she give him the time and attention he deserves? Will guilt prevent her from committing to him? Once again Sawyer Bennett delivers a story full of emotion, love, laughs, and so much more. Another hockey series that scores the winning goal.
