#1 MUST READ SERIES!!!!!!

In theory, couldn't peacemaker/darkstalker put on one of quibli's earrings and return to normal darkstalker? The scrap of paper he swallowed in the strawberry with the spell on it was his on magic so if one of quibli's earrings ever found its way onto his ear then couldn't the old darkstalker be reborn?

I loved this book! It's so awesome! I can't believe what happened! Only one catch though. At the end there is this HUGE cliffhanger and there is only one possible future for this.
I WILL FIND TUI AND MAKE HER PAY.
The end! ?

A terribly displeasing ending to one of my favorite series ever.
I understand that Tui T. Sutherland had backed herself into a corner with the major plot holes in Talons of Power, but she only digs herself deeper. At this point, I don’t think it was an accident or a poorly thought plan, just simply a bad idea executed pretty well.
All things considered, I am extremely disappointed with this book, I was so connected to it, I had dreams of it, wrote fanfictions of it, was inspired by it, and its characters were always in my head…I’m not sure I will ever get over how upset I am with this.
**SPOILER WARNING** If you have not read the book yet, please stop here.
Firstly, it was bad enough that readers had to follow Turtle in Talons of Power, with his sadly pathetic demeanor and slow dopey train of thought, despite his obvious capabilities. But then we get a book with Qibli, whose cleverness and cunning I for one have been greatly looking forward to, only to find someone who thinks along the same lines. “Oh, woe is me, I’m useless and the world hates me…”
Secondly, Tui has been showing signs of falling into the exact same pit as many other authors, something as an author I cannot stress enough- character consistency. First shown in our fleeting glimpses of our beloved characters in Talons of Power, and now given as a blast to the face here.
Thirdly- and this is mostly due to Talons of Power, not inherently this book- Darkstalker’s defeat was sooo…dumb. One of the unspoken laws of writing is to never, ever make any character, good or evil, all powerful because then there is no really good way to get rid of them. I mean seriously, he teleported all animus dragons all over the world to his throne room in a second (btw, where on earth is the animus enchanting in that spell?), and he supposedly made himself invulnerable to animus magic, yet both with Turtle's stick and with his defeat it didn't seem to work...
Fourth- and this one is about the character pairing in the book, why the heck did Tui decide to do MoonxQibli? Although I suppose it was obvious since she announced that the last book was going to be on Qibli. And this isn’t all about personal opinion! If you think about it, how many times before this book did Moon and Qibli even speak to each other, let alone exchange special looks, or were even alone together? In Winter Turning I would say that Winter and Moon had some romantically tense moments, which was very exciting to read about. On top of that, and this last part doesn’t matter as much, but it is still significant, there were polls on what pair the readers wanted in several places on the internet, including Scholastic’s official website, and readers voted incontestably for MoonxWinter, with the polls going at an average of 76% to 24%.
**End of Spoilers**
All in all, a complete flunk from my point of view, I understand that the vast majority will be happy with whatever they are given, but I’m not, I only ask for three simple things: A good story. Consistent characters. And a good ending. That’s it, nothing more, I’m not asking for perfection, just decency, and although this was one of my favorite series ever, this book couldn’t even nearly reach those simple standards. And for that, my 1-Star Rating.

A great read, as any Wings of Fire book is! I am ecstatic that a certain relationship worked out in the end (wink wink) and of Peacemaker. Can't wait for book eleven!

In my book, Wings of Fire, two dragons, a sandwing, Qibli, and an icewing, Winter, set out to save three other dragons. The problem is an entire army has been given powers by a magic dragon, Darkstalker. They go from the desert to the old knight kingdom to Jade Mountain. The only thing stopping them is Darkstalker.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fiction and adventure, because it seems real. I liked the book because a lot of my questions are answered. I also liked it because you can vividly picture the scenes in the book. Another reason I like the book is because it has a happy ending, (like most books).

Ok the book it's self was, of course amazing and it had a solution to a problem that I did not think was solvable (read Darkstalker) but the thing that ticked me off is that (spoiler alert) I've been shipping fow minter for years and Moon picked kindness over heroics and chose quilbi (I know I spelt his name wrong)! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh $!#&**%$#!***&%%!#!!$! Any way what I have to say is one I'm suprised that quilbi has a greedy side, two I think Winter took the lose a little to well considering how much he seemed to love moon in his book and three I can't shake the feeling that there might be somthing between Winter and lynx later on and four I would have never thought that the solution to the Darkstalker problem was to (nice try but you have to reed the book to get what I'm saying)!

It was an amazing book that had lots of twists and turns throughout it. I hope she makes another book so we can see what happens to that one dragon at the end! Have fun reading it because it's one of those book that is very hard to put down once you've picked it up and started reading. And yes, in this book moon finally chooses one of her admirers. Will it be winter or quibli? You'll find out when you read this book. Does anyone know if there making another one? I really hope so. Hope you enjoy it, I know I have!

This book was great. Can't wait for the next arc. That cliffhanger is killing me.

WHY DARKSTALKER WAS SO AWSOME! And now he is a pathetic excuse for a dragon. Peacemaker shoulden't even be called a dragon he is more like a scaly bird. I know Darkstalker was evil but he kinda reminded me of mewtwo from pokemon the first movie

I am shocked of what this series has come to but parents may need to moniter this book first. But this book has a sene at the end of th book in wich anenome has a crush on a female named tamerine. And anenome is a female. Yes you know what that means. There is homosexuality in a book designed for 8-12 tear olds. I am sorry but I will not finish the book nor read on in the series. Also in the sixth book umber has a crush on quibli too who are both males. I am very sorry to Tui but I will not be reading any more books in this series. :(
