Years ago, they were in love. She was an up-and-coming superstar and he was the devilishly handsome security professional hired to keep her safe. They fell hard and fast, no matter how they tried to resist one another. But not everyone around them was happy about their relationship, and a string of lies and deceit destroyed what they once had.

Having just taken the helm of a nationally renowned protective services company, Kynan McGrath is looking to rebrand and revamp his career. The newly crowned Jameson Force Security is moving from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas to the mountainous steel town of Pittsburgh, and the last thing Kynan has time for is to deal with his past.

More than a decade has passed since their split, but even a bruised and battered heart remembers its first love. So when Joslyn Meyers comes to him for help, Kynan reluctantly agrees to keep her safe from a terrifying stalker who keeps threatening her life.

As the danger they face continues to intensify, Kynan realizes he'll stop at nothing to protect the woman who turned her back on him all those years ago. Because one thing is certain—no matter how hard he tries to convince himself otherwise, Joslyn still has his heart.

I have been intrigued by Kynan since he was first mentioned in the Wicked Horse Vegas series and was excited to read the beginning of his and Joslyn’s story in Wicked Force. Code Name: Genesis picks up many years after Kynan McGrath and Joslyn Meyers first met and fell in love. However outside forces managed to keep them apart and thanks to lies and treachery they parted ways. When fate brings them back into one another lives, will the connection and love they once shared still be felt? Kynan cannot help himself when Joslyn comes to him afraid for her safety and he is drawn back in as though the 10 years have never been. As the danger continues to escalate, can Kynan find out who is behind it and in turn save the women he still loves or will all be lost? This book was well written, exciting to read, emotional and at times intense as Kynan and Joslyn struggle not only with their past but with the danger that has become apart of their lives. I really loved these characters and was captivated as Sawyer Bennett wove her story; in fact I was glued to the book from start to finish and I didn’t want it to end.

We first meet Kynan McGrath in the Wicked Horse Series and I was so excited to see he has finally got his own book and HEA. Code Name: Genesis is book one in the new Jameson Force Security Series and if this book is anything to go by this is going to be another hit for the very talented Sawyer Bennett. This story is everything you would expect in a great read and it certainly ticked all my boxes. If you love a good suspense romance this should certainly be a must read for you but it doesn’t end there this book will appeal to second chance romance lovers as well. Kynan is a swoon worthy hero ho stole my heart and I’m really not sure I will ever get it back, Jos is the girl that walked away from him all those years ago and now she needs his protection but is protection the only thing on the cards when they find themselves living under the same roof ......... I loved all the characters in this book and can’t wait for the guys and gals from Jameson Force to get their own stories, this was a book that captivated me from the first page to the very last line and I’m sure if you one click you will feel the same. A brilliant start to a new series.

Perfect for romantic suspense lovers who dream of an alpha man to protect them and love seeing former military as civilian action heroes. This is excellent with the perfect blend of romance and suspense along with steamy chemistry between these two second chance lovers.

Squeez!! This is my jam all the way! A new series, terrific writing, fabulous characters, a dangerous mission and a steamy romance. Everything I've come to expect from this amazing author and her wonderful storytelling. The owner of the new group, Jameson Force Security is Kynan, a hunky Brit with a sexy accent, a dominant personality and killer skills. His first mission is keeping a former flame alive and try to avoid left over feelings. Not happening when the former flame is a beauty and his only love. Joslyn left Kynan based on bad information but she trusts him to save her from a devious stalker out to kill her. She's also never gotten over Kynan. They're a sexy couple with real feelings. In the midst of his mission Kynan is also setting up a new office and hiring personnel for his new group. Great secondary characters in this story especially the super hacker, Bebe. Exciting action that takes the reader on a thrill ride while trying to catch a dangerous killer that challenges the JFS group. Not to be overlooked is the sizzling romance between Kynan and Joslyn. A fantastic romance suspense! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

*****3.5 Stars***** Code Name: Genesis is the first book in the Jameson Force Security series. If you've read the Wicked Horse Vegas series then you've previously been introduced to Kynan McGrath. This is a spin off series of Wicked Horse Vegas. Jocelyn is Kynan's ex-girlfriend. She dropped him when she found out some rather unsettling information about him. Now she needs his help as she's got a stalker, and it's turned violent. I've been stewing over writing this review for a couple weeks now. I love this author and have read everything that she has written, but this book I struggled to get through. I really thought that Kynan was a jerk in the story, didn't feel he was an alpha male, thought he behaved more like a petulant child with his treatment of Jocelyn. Jocelyn went through a traumatic situation and takes all the nonsense he throws at her and does nothing. I didn't feel the chemistry with the characters, and when they get together, the story ends. The story line had so much potential, but just kind of fell flat with me. Overall, it wasn't bad, just was ok though. Hope this helps. Happy Reading!

This is Book 1 of the "Jameson Force Security" Series and I really enjoyed reading it. The best part about this book is that this is only the first one of a new series that will be amazing without any doubts. The writer introduced the new characters while narrating the main story. This book is about Kynan and Joslyn. This second chance romance has it all! A great romance, action, suspense, action!!! Kynan and Joslyn are great characters and the chemistry between them is believable and very hot. A very entertaining reading! I cannot wait to read the second book !

Kynan McGrath, head of Jameson Force Security, is looking to take his company in a new direction. He’s tired of being a babysitter to the rich and famous. He’s an adrenaline junkie who’d rather lead his company in the direction of covert operations. His ultimate goal...entering into government contracts that are “off the books”. Until... Joslyn Meyers is a famous singer, songwriter, and actress. She’s also the only woman to have ever made Kynan believe in HEAs. When she left him a decade ago, without explanation, he was devastated. Kynan spent a decade trying to forget Joslyn. When she calls asking for assistance, he declines. Turns out, he’s still angry and doesn’t want anything to do with her. Joslyn, understanding his reluctance to take her case, pleads with Kynan until he finally relents. Just because Kynan’s taking her stalking case, doesn’t mean he wants anything to do with her. When I started reading this novel, I wanted to slap Kynan across the face for the way he treated Joslyn. He was extremely unlikeable! Kynan had so much anger towards Joslyn, I wasn’t sure Sawyer Bennett could make him likable, much less lovable. BUT I was sooo wrong! I loved Kynan! He was supportive, loving, and heroic. He was the ultimate “White Knight”! Joslyn started off meek and mild, as she should due to her stalker. BUT she turned into such a strong, powerful, empowering woman. I couldn’t put the book down and read it in one sitting. The twists and turns left me guessing until the very end! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Great start to a new series! If you like second chance romances, Alpha males, a mystery and intrigue with your mystery and plenty of hotness then don't hesitate to pick this book up. Can't wait for the next one in the series...

Sawyer Bennett has started this new series off with a vengeance. Code Name: Genesis is the first of many promising stand alone stories in her latest Jameson Force Security series. It is a cross-over series from her Wicked Force Series and I love the characters I meet here. After reading how Kynan and Joslyn got together twelve years ago, in Wicked Force, I completely fell in love with them. No you don't have to read this book to completely love Code Name: Genesis, but it makes both stories more enjoyable if you do. Besides, Sawyer creates an amazing world and I never wanted to leave it, so I'm more than happy to experience all that there is with these amazing characters. Back to Code Name: Genesis.... From the very start I was hooked. Sawyer is almost magical at creating a plot, characters and words that completely draw you in from the start and never let you go. Her world building ability is spectacular. She effortlessly (or so it seems to the reader) weaves snippets of storylines into past, present and future books that can be read as stand alone, but are enjoyed throughout her work. She has the perfect combination of building suspense, creating combustible chemistry and making it so characters burrow their way into your heart and never leave. Her ability as a writer forces the reader to burn through the pages to find out what is going to happen next. In this book Kynan is expanding his securites business. He is set to move to Pittsburg, when the one woman who got away, calls asking for his help. It's life or death and even though he doesn't want anything to do with her, he knows he doesn't have an option. Thus the beginning of this fantastic romantic suspense novel. After meeting the characters in this book, I certainly hope they each get their own book in the near future. I can't wait to see what Sawyer Bennett comes up with next!

Kynan and Joslyn have been separated for 12 years because of manipulation from Joslyn's mother, but they're brought back together by a stalker resulting from Joslyn's stardom. She needs protection, and the only person she can trust is Kynan. Under his protection, they spend a lot of time together where their secrets are aired out and they find they can no longer resist each other. Along the way, Joslyn's stalker becomes more bold and seems like he cannot be caught. The stalker element of this makes the story more intense. I wish there was more from the stalker actually because the character was well written. I'm looking forward to more in this series, especially since the Jameson group grew bigger with hot men and kick-ass women!

This is a different take on the classic second chance romance that all started with a misunderstanding. It had a little bit of everything from suspense, to romance, and to love. I think this book differs in ways to other Sawyer books because of the length and surprisingly non descriptive sex scenes. Which in my opinion was very nice. It made it harder to figure out what was going to happen next because it was so different to what I normally read of hers. The only thing I personally didn't like was the name of the men in the book. I'm sure with all of the books Sawyer has written she is running out of original names but sometimes the name Kynan tripped me up. Overall I enjoyed the book and will look forward to the next one.

I love Sawyer’s books. I was extremely excited to hear that she was writing a new series. This book was worth the anticipation! I really didn’t want to put this book down. This series is going to be a terrific beach read. Can’t wait to see where the next book leads.

This story had everything you want in a book and more. It has action, heat, a fantastic cast of characters, and a second chance at love. "Risk what?" "Risk falling", he growls, then bites my neck again. "You know we're both of the edge." We meet the leader of Jameson Force Security and he is an alpha. A swoon-worthy Brit who will have your heart going pitter-patter. He takes on a case for his ex-girlfriend, Joslyn, and it doesn't take long for the sparks to fly. "I'm deliriously happy to be cuddled next to this man who not only literally saved my life, but also rejuvenated my entire soul merely by coming back into my world." Throughout Joslyn's case we get to meet more of the security team and I absolutely cannot wait for their stories to follow. Bebe is my favorite for sure! In true Sawyer Bennet fashion this story had me on the edge of my seat while making my heart happy. This is a MUST READ for sure! (5 stars)

Favorite Quotes: We named him after Tony Stark.” “You’re kidding me?” “I never kid about the Avengers,” she says in all seriousness. My mind races, trying to remember if I ever learned anything from watching MacGyver about how to help me out of this situation. Without a paper clip, it seems hopeless. My Review: Joslyn had it all, a successful career, a bank full of money, lovely homes, a dangerous stalker, a bitter ex, and a deceitful stepmother. Yikes, I’ll stick to my quiet life of obscurity, thank you very much. The storylines alternated between suspense and sensual romance, with a side order of family drama for additional flavor. The book was written from a dual POV of the two main characters of Kynan and Joslyn, who honestly, were not totally likable. Kynan may have been a sexy Brit with a swoony accent yet he was also a crass prick, and Joslyn was all too gullible. I did pick up a new word for my Brit Vocabulary List with a word I’ve noticed often but never actually knew exactly what it meant – duffer - which according to Kynan means a useless person. Silly me, all this time I thought it was a bad golfer.

What do you do when your former love appears in your life twelve years later and needs your protection? Do you punish her? Do you forgive her? Or do you say sayonara? Kynan and Joslyn are a dynamic pair with a lot of chemistry and emotions. With this being book one in a new series, I find myself wondering about all of the other characters that were introduced and will be introduced. Cruce and Saint, Bebe, and lets not forget Malik Fournier. Fabulous way to cross over two different series and I look forward to more about him. Kudos Ms Bennett for kicking this series off with an explosive story with lots of excitement, intrigue and of course love.

Kynan behaves like a jerk form the very first page but later he becomes an all out super hero. I love his protective side and his attention to detail. He thinks ahead. More than anything the best part about it is that he is very understanding, forgiving and takes responsibility for his mistakes. Now Joslyn is great at bringing his attitude down a bit. She is a decisive woman that will not stand for anything less than the decent man she fell in love with years ago. She stands up for herself. And now with her independence she has learned to make wise and mature decisions. She is not a girl anymore, she is a woman. And one Kynan can not resist. It is great to read how they rekindle that old flame and how they fix a love that was once broken. Plus Kynan is that delicious, strong and sexy alpha with an accent man you will love to imagine jumping.

I LOVED this book. This book is 9 years after Wicked Force and the rest of the story of Joslyn and Kynan.... and it is a good one! 1st love is a special bond, but when it is resolved based on lies, that you could have asked additional questions and resolved before you walked away is hard. Life moved on for both Joslyn and Kynan and decisions were made that took them both into their careers with some thought of the other, but a life changing event haws Joslyn reaching out looking for help from her 1st love regardless how hard it will be to be around him. Years may have passed, but the feelings are still real for both us them. Will Joslyn's near death experience and her need for protection bring out the truth from the past and will it matter for their future? I thought Sawyer did a great job with this story and starting the next series of Jameson Force Security. I am excited to see where this takes us in the books that are yet to come.

I love a second chance romance, add a little suspense and it becomes even better. This is Kynan and Joslyn story. Twelve years ago they met when he was hired to be her bodyguard when she was an up and coming rock star. The quickly fell for each other. A budding romance takes a wrong turn over a misunderstanding. When Joslyn just ups and leaves him Kynan without an explanation he becomes bitter. When she is attack by a stalker that nearly kills her she runs straight to Kynan. At first he tells her to find someone else.. Then he learns how badly she was hurt. and even thought he is still mad at he takes on the job. I really enjoyed this story. It hit all the right notes for me. It was fast paces and just enough heats to keep me turning the pages. This series is off to a great start. Next book please!!!

Having been drawn into Kynan McGrath & Joslyn Meyer’s story in Wicked Force, we are catapulted forward 12 years in the first of the Jameson Force Security series. Previously, they were introduced via Joslyn’s need for protection when she rocketed to singing fame in Las Vegas. She was a 19 year old star, and Kynan had just joined Jericho’s security company engaged to protect her. Their affair was fast and furious, but then suddenly ended when Joslyn upped and left without discussion. Kynan had since taken the reins of Jameson Force, and was keen to expand logistically, when he got a call from Joslyn desperately needing his services. He was the only one to ensure her safety, but what came with that was the bridge needed for their gap in years. I am always excited to launch myself into anything touched by Sawyer, and no more so than a brand new sparkly series. Sawyer doesn’t just know how to create chemistry, but her ever expanding storyline has the promise for the current and the future. It’s always good to see a character develop, and Joslyn had grown into herself, gaining confidence in her career and her supporters she surrounded herself with. I loved Kynan the first time round, but 12 years on, he excels himself in gruff, grit and all round goodness

4.5☆ I really enjoyed Code Name: Genesis. Joslyn and Kynan are interesting characters and I've been curious as to what happened to them in the past 12 years. They've always had a strong connection and that's still the case in this book. I also enjoyed the storyline; it kept me interested and wanting to know how it was going to end. The side characters were good additions and I'm hoping for more from them in the future, especially a certain brother to some hockey players.
