This scant Ray Price compilation from American Legends features ten songs from the lauded country crooner's six decade career, all of which are later versions of some of his most beloved hits such as "City Lights," "Crazy Arms," and "Night Life." There are countless Price collections out there, including the excellent Essential Ray Price (1951-1962) from Columbia/Legacy, that put this little square of deception to shame.

I just love this CD! I loved it when Johnny Paycheck was in his Cherokee Cowboys Band! Johnny wrote several songs for Ray, including Touch My Heart. Roger Miller was a part of his band at one time. Burning Memories was written by Mel Tillis, Soft Rain was written by Ray Price himself. He is now and will always be the greatest, most innovative Country Singer ever. You can keep all your new country artist. Ray Price and Marty Robbins are the only ones that take the number one spot in my extensive music collection. You will love this CD, along with all his others.
