Overview

"I was sent to kill her."

There was one rule for this job. No witnesses.

Then I saw her. She wasn't supposed to be there, and I can only imagine what those dirtbags had been planning for her with her gorgeous blonde hair and her deadly curves. So I did the one thing I knew I shouldn't: I killed every a**hole in that room and I took her as my prize.

I don't save people's lives. I'm a killer, a hired hitman for the Russian mob. But I tell her to trust me, and I mean it. I'm not going to let anyone take her away from me. I'd sworn off women long ago, but I can't resist her long legs and wicked mind, and every time I tell myself I'm being foolish, she gets down on her knees and begs me not to leave her.

I'd rather die than lose her and the baby I know she'll give me.

No Cliffhangers. Safe from cheating. Explicit language & swearing.

Quite interesting .

Only about 150 pages so the ending seems very abrupt, but it's the best one so far!

The Lone Wolf Mikhail could have been the Avtoritet, but instead passes up the position and now Gregorovich is in charge, though their situation is awkward. Mikhail loathes the man – he is a greedy, paranoid, dangerous mafia boss. Gregorovich gives Mikhail a contract to carry out, believing it has been sanctioned by the Bratva, and there is a proviso that there should be no survivors. Mikhail finds Alicia drugged and unconscious in the room and in order to protect her takes her to one of his safe houses; Mikhail will never kill women. Gregorovich is outraged when he finds out there is a witness and tasks Vasili to find Alicia, meaning Mikhail has to go to extraordinary lengths to protect her. Vasili is a sadistic man and his only intention will be to harm Alicia. All the time Mikhail has held Alicia captive she has felt a gamut of emotions for him; hatred, anger, annoyance, but she is alive because of him. From the first day they were together, he never lied or deceived her. Everything he is telling her has been the truth; he is protecting her from someone far worse than him. Knowing she is really in danger makes her want to feel alive and Mikhail, even though a killer, is the person she turns to. When Alicia breaks down Mikhail’s last barrier, he knows it is going to be dangerous for them both and he would have to make hard choices for her sake. This is not Alicia’s world; she has stumbled into his, but they wouldn’t pretend that what they have isn’t real. Mikhail acts so pure, so innocent, even though Alicia knows he is not - he is a cold blooded killer, after all - but to her he is more than that. When hiding is no longer an option, there can be no more room for mistakes; now is the time to confront Gregorovich and take back their lives. This was a well-written interesting story that had lots of twists and turns and was an intriguing read. It is also a book I would have no hesitation in recommending. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Very good hitman romance! Sounds a little odd saying that but.....LOL! Very good story and characters. I love that the hitman is a good guy who looks out for women. Even though he's a hitman, he has morals and values. Alicia is a good character who really comes into her own by the end of the book. She has to make tough choices but learns to follow her heart. Really enjoyed it! I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

Mikhail is a Russian badass, a hot Alpha hitman, a silent unforgiven killer . He is sent to kill a group of men he never doesn't finish a job, including taking out any witnesses but we he see beautiful innocent Alicia everything changes. Alicia wakes up in a safehouse not remembering how she got there, then she lies eyes on her captor, savior, hitman Mikhail its instant lustfilled attraction. This is an amazingly hot action packed story. I really enjoyed Alicia's character she really grow up and struggled with falling for a killer and then released that you can do anything for the one you love. Mikhail was so smoking hot that I was drooling during that workout scene , and when he finally admitted his feelings Wow dating a killer doesn't seem so bad . I really would have loved to seen more in the ending I really didn't want it to end.

I really enjoyed this story! Mikhail and Alicia are great characters. Alicia is in a bad situation and has no idea just yet. She has been drugged by her boss and his friends. Mikhail has been sent to kill her boss. Mikhail takes out everyone else in the hotel room but Alicia. Instead he rescues/kidnaps her. He knows that he has to keep her hidden and out of sight to keep her safe but he's having a hard time with what she makes him feel. Alicia is stuck between being attracted to Mikhail and feeling like she needs to escape and hate him. She goes back and forth quite a bit on this, which is understandable. She's in a situation that she wasn't prepared for and never expected to be in. Her reactions made the story believable for me. Yes, she's drawn to him, but she realizes that there is more there and with the situation being what it is she doesn't just give in to those feelings at first. This connects back to Saved by the Outlaw, though it is a standalone story. Mikhail is Leon's brother and the stories cross a short bit but you don't get the other side and by reading both of them you do. I thought it was really well done. The sex is explicit and a little on the dark side but nothing major. Mikhail is a alpha male and it comes out in the bedroom for sure. Mikhail is possessive, once he allows himself to be. Alicia has to quickly adjust to what is going on around her and I thought that she adapted well and believably. There is quite a bit of action in this story as well. It will keep your attention the whole time. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received an ARC of this title from the author in exchange for an honest review, and here it is: 3 stars. Told in alternating narration, Mikhail is a hitman for the Bratva, the Russian mob. It's something he's exceptionally good at, and, as the novel opens, he's about ready to kill again. He watches as a group of drunken Wall Street revelers exit a limousine and enter a hotel and is surprised to see that they have a single, beautiful but barely conscious and possibly drugged woman with them. Mikhail, it seems, has standards, and he doesn't kill women or children. He manages to take out a half-dozen guards and kill every man in the room, but he takes the woman with him when he leaves, and this is when we meet Alicia. Alicia wakes up in an unfamiliar, cold room with a splitting headache and hangover only to learn from Mikhail that the man she was with the night before, Mr. Gallego, her boss, who is up for re-election to the Senate, is dead, as are all the men she was with. Mikhail provides her with food, clothing and information because there isn't much she can recall. He tells her that she's in a safe house and that the hotel security cameras that caught her image make her the only witness to a multi-victim hit. Mikhail's mob boss wants her dead, the police no-doubt want her for questioning. When Allie tries to escape her captor, Mikhail is even more accommodating--he even arranges to have Allie's mother cared for and given her medications, something Allie can no longer chance doing, and so begins this highly unlikely, extremely graphic and hot romance between the hit man with a heart and his captive. While well-written, and an exciting, action-packed novel filled with graphic sex and graphic violence, I simply couldn't willingly suspend my disbelief that this relationship would ever happen. I kept thinking that it would be far more likely that Allie was suffering from Stockholm syndrome, and that at some point, she would be rescued and deprogrammed. I certainly understood the attraction between these two characters that fate had thrown together, but to have a virtual innocent accept what Mikhail does for his livelihood just stretched the likelihood of such a relationship too far for this reader to believe.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Alicia works for a congressman. Trying to advance in her career, she accepts an invitation for drinks and dinner with him and his associates. Thinking it to be a harmless invitation, but by accepting, it is assumed she is open to much more. Mikhail is a hitman out on a job, only this job has a glitch. A woman who was definitely not supposed to be there. Oh well, collateral damage...nothing new. Maybe in this case it is. Mikhail realizes by keeping Alicia alive, he seems to have bitten off more than he can chew. So unlike him. Normally he is in complete and total control in all situations he deals with. Alicia is one situation he never bargained for. As things heat up, Mikhail needs to keep Alicia safe, and that means keeping her far way from him. Women have no place in his life. Feelings have no place in his life. Can Alicia change all that? Would she even want to? This was a great story. I loved the characters. I instantly remembered Mikhail and Leon's conversation from Saved By The Outlaw, GREAT BOOK, by the way, with Cherry and Leon. It was great to visit with them again. Mikhail and Alicia were two characters that knew they were both missing something in their lives, but didn't realize it until they were without each other. The tricky part was trying to figure out how to be together, and if that was possible. THIS STORY WAS ACTION PACKED AND VERY DRIVEN ! FLOWED SMOOTHLY AND WELL WRITTEN ! NO LULLS IN THIS STORY, BUT PLENTY OF WILD, HOT, STEAMY SEX ! ! GREAT BOOK ! ALEXIS ABBOTT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT !
