This book was absolutely incredible. Only discovering towards to the end of my relationship that my ex-boyfriend had narcissistic personality disorder it enabled so many aspects of our relationship to make sense, which at the time were heavily confusing. It has helped me in so many ways and put in perspective his behaviours as a vulnerable narcissist. As a highly empathetic person and someone who strives to see the best and positives in all situations I realised I could not keep doing this in our relationship. I have recommended this book to a number of people, as I believe it is relevant in setting healthy boundaries and self-care in all sorts of relationships, not just narcissistically abusive ones. 2 of my friends who have read it have also had the same response. There is nothing left unexplored and I highly recommend Shahida's book and work on blogs such as Thought Catalogue to anyone struggling to come to terms and heal from a narcissistic relationship.

Excellent book. I benefited most from the chapters on No Contact (I bookmarked the 100+ alternatives to No Contact list in the book to revisit again) and Chapter 3 which had an extensive list of healing resources. I learned more about the different types of traditional therapy as well as about twenty other alternative remedies I had never considered. All in all, this book reinforced a lot of what I was learning about how narcissists manipulate us and also introduced me to methods I had never tried before. Also has citations for further reading if you want to look up stuff on your own.
