"You will not sleep until you are finished with AGENT ZERO. The author did a superb job creating a set of characters who are fully developed and very much enjoyable. The description of the action scenes transport us into a reality that is almost like sitting in a movie theater with surround sound and 3D (it would make an incredible Hollywood movie). I can hardly wait for the sequel."
--Roberto Mattos, Books and Movie Reviews

In this much-anticipated debut of an epic spy thriller series by #1 bestseller Jack Mars, readers are taken on an action thriller across Europe as presumed-CIA operative Kent Steele, hunted by terrorists, by the CIA, and by his own identity, must solve the mystery of who is after him, of the terrorists' pending target—and of the beautiful woman he keeps seeing in his mind.

Kent Steele, 38, a brilliant professor of European History at Columbia University, lives a quiet life in a New York suburb with his two teenage daughters. All that changes when late one night he gets a knock on his door and is abducted by three terrorists—and finds himself flown across the ocean to be interrogated in a basement in Paris.

They are convinced that Kent is the most lethal spy the CIA has ever known.

He is convinced they have the wrong man.

Do they?

With a conspiracy around him, adversaries as smart as he is, and an assassin on his tail, the wild game of cat and mouse leads Kent on a perilous road—one that may lead back to Langley—and to a shocking discovery of his own identity.

AGENT ZERO is an espionage thriller that will keep you turning pages late into the night.

Book #2--TARGET ZERO--is also available!

"One of the best thrillers I have read this year."

This book had me hooked within the first few pages. Imagine your life as it is today, only to find you actually have lived a life so completely different. Things you never recalled ever having done you do so effortlessly as muscle memory kicks in. Details of another time start filtering in; you feel like you are two people. I read the book within a day. Who needs sleep when you can watch a college professor struggle with the knowledge he was one of the best CIA agents - and that he was listed as KIA? A must read...and now I am onto the next in the series Target Zero. Just the Luke Stone series, Jack Mars demonstrates a mastery of words and the need for the reader to be adept in speed reading. You will feel like you know Agent Zero (Kent Steele) on a very deep level. *I was provided this advance copy to read and provide an objective review.

The quality of the writing and story-telling ability is what makes Jack Mars books stand out from the crowd. Agent Zero is no exception to that statement. His new character, Agent Zero (he has 2 other names too :-) ) is a fully fleshed out hero. No "one dimensional" types for Jack - it's one of the many things that makes his books so good. The oft used phrase "page turner" is, in this case, true, you will gallop through to a satisfying end in no time at all. Keep it up Jack.

With the amount of action in this book, it could fill 3 novels. It's a really good book but I'm exhausted after reading it, there's almost too much action. And it's first in a series...

Agent Zero is an auspicious start to a new series by Jack Mars. I’ve read all the Luke Stone series, so I was well acquainted with Mars’s writing. I am on his list of advanced readers who receive a free copy in exchange for an honest review. The book begins with seemingly mild-manner Reid Lawson, a widowed professor of European History at Columbia who is the father of two teenaged girls. One night he is kidnapped by some middle eastern men, and everything he knew about his life is turned upside down. What transpires is an exciting whirlwind adventure over the course of a week. As Reid begins to discover bits and pieces of who is really is, the danger to him and his daughters increases dramatically. The story wraps up nicely, but leaves just enough hanging to know that there’s much more to come! I truly look forward to reading the rest of the series. I just purchased Target Zero and have read the first couple of chapters and I’m ready for another rip-roaring adventure.

This is a book that will capture your attention right from the begining. Well thought out story line and a main character that is easy to like. If you are a fan of the Luke Stone series you will not be disappointed with agent zero.

Widowed Colombia University history Professor Lawson Reid is abducted from his apartment one evening by three Arab intruders in the dead of night for reasons he cannot understand. Leaving behind his two daughters he is put on a plane and transported to an unknown Middle Eastern country where he is viciously interrogated throughout the night with his abductors getting nowhere until they discover buried in his skull a memory suppressing chip which they immediately remove – thus restoring to life Kent Steele – Agent Zero. Once again Jack Mars takes us on a roller coaster thriller of a ride as Steele slowly remembers who he is – the CIA’s most relentless killing machine ensconced in a mission to stop a barbarous terrorist faction from changing the balance of power in the world. As he struggles to find out who he is - the sedate conservative history professor, widowed father of two young girls and the most skilled, ruthless American agent who has been disavowed by the CIA for reasons he can’t remember - Mars takes us on yet another edge of the seat heart stopper that will keep you up through the night turning the pages to see how things turn out. The master continues to show why he is one of the elite writers of our time!

Shades of Jason Bourne! By the end of Chapter 1 you're in the thick of an action-packed thriller! The drama, intrigue and suspense never stops! Get comfortable in your favorite reading spot as you'll not want to put this one down. Another page turner from the mind of Jack Mars. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!
